Attraction | "Spectacular sights and mind boggling facts"

I love see amazing sights and learning new things so what better way to combine my two passions than by visiting the museum. The Natural History museum is located a small walking distance from South Kensington Tube station. I have always found it easy to find as it is so big and has massive posters around the outside. There are also many other museums nearby so if you see these you know that you are heading in the right direction. As mentioned the museum itself is huge, inside it houses a magnitude of natural artefacts, fossils and exhibitions related to the natural world. There are four ‘zones’ in the museum which are colour coded in the free map. The red zone is where you ca...Read More

Queens Theatre

Attraction | "See Les Mis and be Tres happy!"

Queens Theatre Photo, London, England
Quote:
This January I went to see Les Misérables at the Queens theatre London with family. The theatre is located on Shaftesbury Avenue on the West End. It is really easy to get to if you get the tube to Piccadilly Circus and then follow the signs. You can also see the billboard from a long way away.We got our tickets from an on-line retailer before-hand and these arrived by post. I would suggest that this is the best way to do it as I always worry that there won’t be available tickets if I go to buy them on the door. I really like going to the theatre to see a show as it is an opportunity to really dress up and feel glamorous. This feeling is heightened by the uniforms of the ushers; black...Read More

Hamleys Toy Shop

Attraction | "Fun for small and big kids alike!"

Hamleys Toy Shop Photo, London, England
Quote:
Hamleys is a famous toy shop on Regent Street in London that was first opened in 1760. It is really easy to find, all you need to do is get the tube to Oxford Circus and then follow the signs to the toy shop. To call this a toy shop though is an understatement; it is more like an attraction that sells toys than a toy shop. The shop has seven floors set into themes; interactive, soft toys, games, pre-school, girl’s hobbies and boys. On each floor there are hundreds of toys related to these themes. The toys here are of the highest quality but because of this are very pricey. The reason I say that the shop is more of an attraction is because they have several stalls and staff memb...Read More

Her Majesty's Theatre

Attraction | "Be a part of the magic on the West End."

I went with family to see the astonishing Phantom of the Opera at Her Majestys Theatre London last January. Her Majestys Theatre London is located at Haymarket, it is quite easy to find as it is well sign posted from the tube station. The outside of the theatre is spectacular, it was built in 1897 I believe and is lit up in the evening giving it an almost magical feel. There are also posters advertising the musical shown here (The Phantom of the Opera) and ticket offices so that you can purchase tickets on the door. I find this quite risky and expensive as you never know how many tickets they will have available and I found mine cheaper on-line. I would suggest that you buy tickets in advance fr...Read More

London Trocadero

Attraction | "Lot's to do for all of the family"

London Trocadero Photo, London, England

London Trocadero is a large centre that houses a cinema, bowling, sports bar, shops, arcades, casino, restaurants, Ripley's believe it or not, laser quest and much more. There is so much to do here that you could easily spend a day out here however it would be an extremely expensive day out as all of the attractions here are very costly. I generally go to Trocadero to play in the arcades and to go shopping in some of the alternative shops such as Tokyo Toys (which sell lots of anime merchandise). There are two types of arcade here, one for tokens and one for money. The tokens are quite easy to get and you can trade them for some very good prizes such as perfume. The cinema here...Read More
