The rest of the park consists of small villages and farms. The farms are from different regions of Sweden. There is the Älvroshof, a typical farm in northern Sweden from the beginning of the 19th Century. Or most farm Deslsbohof, from the northern central Sweden the 19th Century dates. Although the influx of visitors is large, the masses lost in the park and you are often alone in an apartment building. Especially nice is the Seglora Church. The red building was built in 1729 and 1916 brought to Skansen. The church is made entirely of wood. Skansen is an absolutely worthwhile leisure park. One can easily spend half a day there or day without getting bored. And this at a reasonable price. The prices for drinks and food in the park are normal, so you experience no nasty surprises here. Skansen is very diversified and loving, you feel transported back into another century and can still enjoy nature and wildlife. Since I find no negatives, I give the full amount of stars and a recommendation.

Since we planned the next morning to drive to the Astrid Lindgren Värld we looked for a campsite that was for somewere close to Vimmerby and by the sea. Using the Camping guide we landed on Lysingsbadet Camping in Västervik, which is located in southeastern Sweden, on the coast, more precisely in the archipelago. Islets are smaller or larger islands, which are often found along the Swedish coast. Since the landscape is very beautiful here, we did not hesitate and drove to the place.

Lysingsbadet is not just a camp but a holiday resort, the attractions, such as the swimming pool are also available to day visitors. The facility is a 5-star property.

Lysingsbadet is a setllement. During our stay we saw only a part which is partly because the space extends over the bridges associated with islets. This one does not always have such a clear view, but looks only at the next island. We received a map of the site, as we checked in, which was also necessary, otherwise we would not have our the spot for our tent. There are fixed places, but also for tents, cabins, cottages and places with or without electricity. And what we ultimately decided to areas in which you can pitch your tent where you like. On the map it showed us the way and pointed out that one had to park the car in the parking lot and not allowed to park at the tent. I think that's not bad, because you are camping yet comfortable than if you sit between cars. In addition, the parking was just above the tent park, so it was in half a minute on the car. On our way to the parking lot we went to the numbered squares by electricity. There was not very comfortable. It all looked very stocky and full.

There are also meadows, beaches and the aforementioned islands with cliffs. Before permeate, but you have to drive through a barrier. Left are the reception area, the small, well-stocked grocery store and several gift shops and stalls. Driving through the gate continue straight to the pool area with slide and all the trimmings. We were not swim there because we had no time for the hustle and bustle, though the entrance has been included. The car we were able to park in the shade, which was very good, with 25 degrees and sunshine because it was pretty warm. The small meadow that was the place was quite full, but we found a nice little corner, right on the water. A few people were bathing in the sea or lying on the beach, adjacent to the meadow, but it was compared to the rest room enough going on. So we pitched our tent and went to bathe only once a dip in the sea. The free use of the sauna was also very near.

Lysingsbadet according to the ADAC Camping Guide has many different service building with a different standard. This I can confirm. We received at check-in cards that we would be able to open the building, but for our service building, there was no reader, so we could easily enter Sun In front of the place I have seen a very old looking toilet block that was working with maps. A look through a straight falling to door showed me that they were less comfortable than the sanitary facilities in our service building.

Lysingsbadet is a large estate, which is sometimes very touristy. With luck, but you get a nice, quiet place like us. It has lots of possibilities and for the offer, the price is fine too. But then one must also use something to make it worthwhile. The sanitary facilities are of varying quality, our were great, but you have to be bothered with queuing. This is also the reason why I deduct a star, and thus awarded four out of five stars and a recommendation.

Our third night in Sweden, we spent at Eriksöre Camping & Stugor in Färjestaden, a campsite on Öland.

Originally we had not planned before to spend the night on Öland but we liked it so much that we went in search of a place. We used the guide and we decided on Eriksöre Camping & Stugor. Stugor means that you can rent at the campsite and holiday houses or cottages. This is in many places of the case. We drove over the bridge, which connects with Kalmar Öland. Just a few miles south of the bridge is the place. Since he was very welcoming, we booked a room for one night.

Eriksöre Camping & Stugor is one of the oldest squares, which is under new management since 2000 and has since expanded the services to be more accessible. I do not know how the place was before, but now, 7 years later, there are already lots of opportunities and activities and the service building was clearly more recent date. The site has 400 pitches and several holiday homes, holiday cottages and caravans for hire. It is already a big place, but the site is large, so that everything goes fairly.

When we arrived it was quite busy, the campsites are close together and are not very big, so you had immediate neighbors. As we sleep in the tent, but only interferes with the further. Especially since there a very large lawn a few yards from the tent was removed, which extends along the sea. During the day there is a large lawn, is the "beach, in the evening you can sit here, watch the sunset or grilling. Since we had no desire to sit in front of our tent with a view to other tents and caravans, we grilled on this area and spent the whole evening there. Amazingly, no one else had the idea, so we were all alone.

Since we were early on Öland, we used the afternoon to go swimming and the opportunity to lie in the sun. There is a sandy beach where it was very crowded, but a few yards were hardly more people to the Wise, where we settled down. To swim, you have to go very far into the Baltic Sea, but that is almost everywhere. The water was very clear and the soil soft and sandy. Here I could also imagine two or three days to relax and stay. For dogs, there is a private beach, which I find very pleasant, because it can leave some are unique. But now the dogs are the ones who come to the camp at their expense, because the camp is a dog-friendly place, which even their own rates for the four-legged offers. Since I have no dog that is less interesting for me, but you could then book all kinds of activities in which the dog should learn something and have fun. The camp was accordingly visited by dogs well. Everywhere the caravan owners had fenced their place, behind the dogs were tethered, romped around depending on size. At first I was afraid that the many dogs nerves in the long run, but they were really hardly noticed because they either just lying around in any activities or had had with pet owners on a walk.

Due to the many attractions of the place is rather touristy, which I dislike so much, but nature is beautiful and you have the opportunity to escape the crowds by the sea withdrew. The facility itself is clean and spacious, so you do not also occur in such a way as if you were on such a large space. From this is the place to stay little. Only that the pitches are so close to each other is a pity.

Basically, there are several service buildings, which all work without a key, card or code. In one building there are the kitchen and dishwashing facilities, family shower rooms (shower and toilet) and laundry rooms separately for ladies and gentlemen. The other building houses the toilets (not separated into male and female) and showers. The showers are accessible from a porch-is no big hall, but individual doors on each side there were three, behind which there is a shower with a small vestibule. The showers are not separated by sex because there is no hallway, I suppose. At each door there is a sign that you pay for your showers no longer than 5 minutes, but you did not have to pay extra. I assume there were other such sanitary facilities spread across the square, because it was never full, I had not even pending. The showers were spacious and had a splash guard for clothes. However, the floors were not clean. The fact that you step out of the same in the humid room, the dust is wet underfoot and streaks occur. Before I showered, I simply just made the shower and cleaned by removing the soil, so you could enter them again. Normally it's done so well again after a shower, then it should be unnecessary for the following, to clean before, but this is probably not arrive at all.

Eriksöre Camping & Stugor is a beautifully situated place I would visit again. Facing the sea with a great lawn and a beach, where you can grill, combined with a good service building, this place is all right. Only the price is somewhat high, especially since some sites close to each other, and I get even better for less money. Altogether, four out of five stars and a recommendation.

The camp was marked on our map and it was right on the lake and also on our route, we drove there. From the guidebooks it had quite got good reviews, so we did not hesitate long. Finding the place was quite easy because we knew we had to go towards Vreta and in Sweden are the Camps very well signposted.

Sandvik Camping is a small family site located directly on the beautiful lake Roxen. We reached the place in a dry but cool and windy day, so the Roxen was very agitated and caused quite a stir. A few children could however could not be scared of the cold and went swimming. In warmer weather, it must again be better, because then you can lie in the sun and cool off in between in the water. But even with the windy weather, the landscape its charm.

The site has 100 pitches, as I said, quite small. The area for caravans, tents and annual rent is separate from each other. When checking in we had a choice whether we wish to camp right on the water or too far away. We chose the place near the water. To get there, we got a key that should be equally open to the turnpike to the place and the service building. The turnpike is first digested and then elevates him up, drive through, closes it and turns the key. This is a little expensive, but not so bad because you go out is not always so pure and more. We drove across the square, then a meadow and over a bridge, we were on the shore of the lake. There we found our place with the number on a sign. The pitch was huge. Not only that, we had stood on either side about 10 meters to the next tent, because the place was not busy and to the water was perfectly clear view, as the tents side by side, but are not consecutive. A long row, all with a clear view on the lake.
The place was very plain and simple, containing a large lawn and the lake, but the view was great and the location is very nice. We were very pleased with this place.

When checking in we were given a key (for the barrier) and a code. If you want the service building with toilets and showers (separately for men and women) and are the kitchen, so you need one of them. The door to the building, facing the lake, you can open without the key, the door to the other side only with the code. Entering from the service building of the sea, then immediately left to find a bookcase, where you can search for and read a little, which is very nice, and the books were in Swedish, but this is clear. The cabin was very spacious and in each there was a sink, so that even this one can wash their hands immediately. The showers (free) were also spacious and very clean. What is also because that the cabins, even the hall, not allowed to enter with shoes, and causes the dust and sand in your shoes not damp and there are not typical for these campsites brown streaks in the showers.
Overall, it indicates to the service building nothing wrong, except perhaps that everything (at high mode) is a little tight. Since I do not believe that the place is ever crowded, at least we were there during the high season, I do not see this as a disadvantage.

Sandvik Camping is a superbly located, quiet, family campsite on the peace-seekers will get their full costs. The site is located directly on Lake Roxen, where you can swim or even suitable for windsurfing. The pitches are generous and the price is cheap. Since a larger crowd, perhaps one or two more would be good shower (although it was not fully with us - it might be), I give good four out of five stars and a recommendation for those who relax in on a nice little place the natural look.

After the place that we had chosen was crowded, unfortunately, we had no choice but to continue along the west coast of southern Sweden. According to the ADAC should it a few miles east of Kristianstad be a place. It was also easy to find it, for the campside was well signposted.

Landöns Camping is a small place, situated on Skåne (Scania), the only archipelago. It has a private beach and only 100 places. Most places were occupied by mobile homes, the actual campsite was tiny, right on the water and looked very nice. But here everything was already full, so we got a space between a couple of caravans. That was of course not necessarily so, as we had imagined, but since the region was all very crowded, we were glad to be able to set up our tent. The place itself is also very appealing, the water directly in the vicinity and a magnificent view over the archipelago. You can go sit there on the water or swimming or walking in the woods nearby. Off the field there is a large meadow where you can play football for example.

That the place is really close to nature, we noticed a hedgehog as latest suddenly appeared on the beach and only a meter away ran past us. Otherwise the place is rather simple. No asphalt roads, only a service building and a few options for children. If we get a parking space in the area for tents, so it certainly would have been really nice, the scenery was nice, but so hemmed in by the caravans you felt funny. But better than to find no place where one sets up his tent.

When checking in, we received two cards being used to enter the toilet block. Separately for men and women get it as to the showers and toilets. There is only one toilet block. This one is already in the shower at times. There were four or five toilets (one disabled toilet) and about 8 basin, and three showers, one of which was disabled and very spacious. The showers were included in the rental space, as well as everything else. The showers all have a very large hall with a shower curtain and hooks, so the clothes do not even get wet. Although everything was clean, however, were the skylights usually open for ventilation, so that mosquitoes and harvestmen were looking his way inside. But that's the way it is in nature that one encounters insects and spiders.

The toilets were plain white toilet with cistern, the cabs are not too small, although a little dark. There was always enough toilet paper and even disinfecting spray, which you could clean the toilet seat before. As in our first place, the toilets were very clean, which is certainly back on the regular, mostly Swedish people who work even all the toilet lid down.

The building itself is a total service that is classified as good, and you realize that this is a small square in which are not the latest sanitary facilities to be found. Everything seems a little old, but it does not feel uncomfortable. Everything was clean and the showers in the price is included, is only negative that the number of showers is a little tight.

At the reception you can until closing (about 20 clock) buy a few small things, drinks, hamburgers, snacks. Really make sense but it is not because the selection is small yet. As space is very small, is also offered not much that I find it always nice, because I sites with giant animation program and not so very much. So you have more peace and quiet. But there is a hot tub and spa, you can use. From the outside it may look more like a big trough, but it certainly is nice to sit in cooler weather in the spa. For children there are two small playgrounds on the court and a large outside, also the great lawn, where you can play football for example. For families and those seeking tranquility of this place is certainly the right person with great especially the beach.

Landöns Camping is a simple campsite in beautiful surroundings on the waterfront. If space is full, we must place your tent in less attractive places, compensated for the one view. The toilet block is clean, but the toilets and showers, a little tight. The price, including hot water, in order for the high season. Since the service building is too small for the number of guests and also no one gets such a beautiful parking lot, I give 3 stars and a recommendation.

The nights of our 14-day leave Sweden, we have spent most of camp sites. The first night after our arrival, we stayed at Ljungs Camping in Falsterbo.

After we arrived in Trelleborg we traveled to a place in the area, which looked very uncomfortable, so we drove on. On a small peninsula in the southwest of Sweden and the campsite is Falsterbo Ljungs camping according to the composite 4 stars and according to the ADAC has three stars. The course is situated in beautiful surroundings, right in nature, so we checked in and not long-considered.

The campsite offers 380 pitches, of which 350 have electricity. Most of the pitches for tents and caravans are not placed next to each other. The reception is located at the entrance. After we bought our brand value for the camping card and had paid the night, we got a number that we should put behind the wheel in the car. We waited outside the gate now that would show us our place. About 5 minutes later, a man came and went before us, to our place. We were on a field, some with trees that already has had some tents, but it was not constricting, they had enough space to the sides. We pitched our tent, the ground was not particularly hard. However, it had it rained a little earlier so that the soil was moist. I do not know if it was the rain, or the fact that in the vicinity of the camp still waters, but it was full of mosquitoes. The short walk from the car brought to the front desk when you check me already three mosquito bites. But after we had been sprayed with anti-mosquito spray, we were not stung. So you should absolutely have that here, because the mosquitoes were very aggressive. Although the next morning the sun was shining, it was very warm and dry, they wanted us at breakfast again.

The camp itself is beautifully arranged and clearly, the pitches are nice, though not all too personal. To stay one night, he is very good, I would not recommend longer stays, there is also near to the beautiful beach, not very much to see.

The toilets are separated into male and female, with the chip card works equally for all doors. You pull the card through the reader and is in the laundry room. There are plenty of sinks, some with privacy protection, some without. Between the toilet and the sink has a large partition, so you do not brush your teeth permanently on toilet doors to see and go. Toilets are available in sufficient numbers. There is a disabled toilet. The toilets themselves are white and modern with a recessed button in the wall through which they operated. The button was a little high for smaller children mounted so that they can not possibly wash without help. The cabins were large and bright, so you do not, as in many public toilets, has the feeling of being imprisoned. There was always enough toilet paper and I have not seen once that a toilet seat was soiled. This is either cleaned a lot, or the predominantly Swedish campers are just careful. In other countries, one is often everything, even bring toilet paper, there is sometimes no toilet seats and everything is rather spartan, but here everything was there, what you needed.

The showers were all individually locked and had an anteroom with a splash guard. The shower was not included. Cold water you get so much they want is hot water for 4 minutes cost 5 crowns (about 55 cents). Vending machines are unfortunately outside the shower, so you must first insert money and then goes inside. The water is going on but only when you turn it on and you can stop it in between. What I am presenting stupid is when one has dawdled and dried up the water, then one should post the foam wash either cold or naked, get out for another coin. Fortunately, I was out of the embarrassment. Overall, there were only 4 showers, so you may need to queue at times. However, I only noticed the next morning, that, on the other side of the building are all once again. In total there are 8 showers in the building. I'm not sure if there is another toilet block, because it would be a little bit at 380 places. Since I never had to queue but it seems to work relatively well.

The cooking and washing up areas were also modern and clean. Sorry, you have to pay for the use of rings and extra that at other places was not the case. Although we usually cooked on a gas stove in front of the tent, but when it was time to cool or windy, we have concentrated on other places like to put on a cup of tea in the kitchen. But then to pay again, I find exaggerated, after all, the court fee already not so cheap (more on that later) and they cook so no 2 hours.
The service building itself is a total of very modern and clean, only the extra costs are negative.

The campground has a small grocery store, but also a tiny bistro in which there are dishes such as pizza. Prices in the grocery store were slightly more expensive than the supermarket, and I would buy anyway, because of the limited choice in the supermarket. On the first night we bought the store two cans of beer. You have to say that alcoholic beverages may be sold only to a level of 3.5% in normal shops. Everything about it is you only get at Systembolaget, the state-shop for everything with percentages. It was remarkable that we are, we are both 25, asked for our ID card anyway, because 3.5% is now not a lot and we also look not like teenagers. Well.

The campground has a beautiful location and offers very high standard. The pitches are large enough, but lacking in individuality. The entire plant is modern and clean. In particular, the service building leaves much to be desired. For that alone, that at a quite high price for the extra costs and even showers for the lack of individual flair, I prefer a whole is a star. I forgive than four out of five stars and a recommendation for those looking for a nice place near the ferry.

So we headed in Halmstad where we were straight on the road - on the search for affordable accommodation.

A Vandrarhem one would describe as a youth hostel at ease, because that is the very close. Basically, it is more of a board or a family hostel where you just can stay cheaply. In Sweden there are very many of these hostels of different standards. Thus, there are hostels in which WC and bathroom is in each room, but also hostels that have not it. The rooms range from double rooms usually up to eight beds. Often there are Vandrarhem the possibility of self-catering, so that is a full kitchen, you can use to get food to prepare. The dining room and a lounge or TV room is added often. The Youth hostel offers at comparatively low price alternative to the hotel.

In Halmstad we looked first at the tourist office which had a record of all houses in the region. We asked for a cheap place to stay and set us a limit of 400 crowns (about 43 €) for both of us and a twin room. That's about twice what it costs on average for a campsite per night, but relatively little, because Sweden is not necessarily cheap. In fact, they offered us a Vandrarhem in Aled, which should only cost 300 SEK, plus bedding, so unfortunately we did not have this, 390 SEK. Without much to ask at the hostel, so we booked a double room and were on our way to the 9 km from Halmstad away Aled.

Despite the rain fell at once, that the hostel is very quiet and beautiful landscape. Far and wide there is nothing here you are in a small village, or better still outside because the building is somewhat isolated. It made no immediate impression as welcoming as the house looks quite old and we wondered how it would then probably be inside. The next morning in the sunlight, but then it looked from the outside also much more friendly.

Since we had reserved, knew the hostel wardens notification of our coming, because it is unusual to check in after 18 clock and now it was nearly 19:30 clock. The owner met us right as we reached the entrance and greeted us very warmly. He led us through the dining room and catering kitchen in a small office where we met his wife. The two were incredibly friendly and spoke English with them. We paid by credit card, and then based our room.

The matron took us to our room on the ground floor. The house is not very large, it has, if I have seen 7 rooms on the ground and first floor again a few rooms. Overall, the house has 70 beds, based on double room, 3 -, 4 -, 6 - and 8-bed rooms, some with bathroom, some without. Our double rooms, as well as any other room was newly renovated, so the outward impression of the building was not maintained in the interior. Our room had a toilet and a sink with hot and cold water. The shower was on the floor, but since we were one of the few guests that we had to queue and there was not such a front as if you have anything on their own. The room was quite spacious, had a large closet and a large mirror. The twin beds were very comfortable and everything was very neat and clean. I have never seen such a clean hostel. There was a small table and a chair there as well. There was nothing that could have been missing, we were glad that we had found such a beautiful and affordable accommodation. That there is a toilet in the room was. That there was no shower in the room was, I think not so bad

The next morning we drank tea in the dining room. During the stay is free tea and coffee is free, which I find remarkable. Breakfast can be ordered for 45 SEK (5 €), to which we have not because we cared for ourselves. Throughout the house there is a ban on pets and a smoking ban, which came towards us very much, because it is very uncomfortable to sit in a smoky room and might be found even animal hair. In addition to the dining room there is a TV room we have not used. For each question, for example by the nearest supermarket, the hostel wardens are happy to help. The Youth hostel also has houses that you can rent. be cleaned before leaving the room must, say, vacuuming, wet wiping, cleaning the toilet and sink, empty garbage can, pull off beds and shake. This can be done either directly, or for 25 SEK per person can make.

If you want to live cheap but good and clean so is the Vandrarhem a really good alternative to camping or hotel. The rooms are nice, clean and renovated, the hostel wardens very friendly and you live deep in the countryside in complete silence. Since one at that price in my opinion can not expect to have a toilet and shower in the room, I draw from no star, because the value for money is more than good. Thus I award 5 stars and a recommendation.
