Quote: Beutiful place, unique experience, but double the cost and chalk up your walet. The money exchange rate for the australian dollar is 1.12 USD = 1 ASD however that does not mean that things are equal. It will cost you twice as much to eat, sleep and have fun.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park

Attraction | "Interesting but not worth the money or the time."

This was interesting but fell really short of expectations. The indoor shows were limited to two and were all holographic. They were rather short and uneventfull. The one outdoor show was mildly entertaining but it seems like the same 6 people do every show put on there. The one fun thing was being able to learn how to throw the boomerang(again taught by the same people). Other then that the lunch was small but tasty. The place was rather deserted for a summer attraction. I would not bother with this particular attraction unless you need to waist some time. It is only open from 8 or 9am to 4pm.

This tour was the best attraction and defently worth the money. How ever make sure you spend a little extra and get the Gold Class Ticket and a ride back and forth from your hotel. The Kuranda Sky Rail is a beautifull train ride up the mountian in the Daintree Rainforest to a small village called (you guessed it) Kuranda. The train is old fashoned but does not feel that way if your sitting in your own plush chair in the Gold Class cabin. The other cabins are all benches that fit about 4 normal people or three to two people with elbow room. The gold class cabin also gives you tasty little treats and drinks for breakfast.(all part of the price) The views as your climbing the mountain are spectacul...Read More

Hotel | "Interesting Experience"

This is actually not a Hotel in the traditional sense. It is a small one room condominum. The price wasn't to bad from Travalociy at ____ per night. However there was pros and cons. The pros are that it is literly on Trinity Beach, all you have to do is look out your window and see the beautiful view. The beach is a private walk way (a bunch of steps) down from the hotel. It was also nice that you could book all of your fun events right at the front desk (durring open hours only ofcourse.) Then at the end of your stay they charge you in full instead of having 5 differnt charges on your credit card. The town was peacefull and quaint. However there was a decent night life right accrose th...Read More
