After reading in guide books and blogs that Leo Burdock had the best fish and chips in Dublin we walked all the way to its famous home at 2 Werburgh Street, but it was closed. Being our last day in Dublin our hopes of sampling the best fish and chips were lost.We made our way back down to the Temple Bar neighborhood in search of an alternative; we walked back and forth along Essex Street with no site of fried goodness. For our first meal in Dublin we wanted something a bit traditional, so we made reservations in advance at Gallagher's Boxty House - we had seen it on a travel show. We were seated at the table closest to the door, but the close proximity to the fireplace made up for it.
