This is a very relaxed tour, it has to be on a boat or a ship because it is a inlet that leads to glaciers, and beautiful scenery. It is a national park so that means it is wonderfully kept to preserve the sights and sounds. I will provide some photos but that will not do it justice. One must see this in person to believe it. I got to see brown bears, eagles going for the kill, seals floating on a little iceberg, and many killer whales. The highlight for glaciers is John Hopkins glacier. The highlight of my trips was to see the caving of the front of a glacier (I have provided a picture). This is when the front falls of into the water. It you are ever in Alaska, THIS IS A MUST.
Quick Tips:
Make sure you bring your camera and lots of film. BRING YOUR BINOCULARS, because the sights that can be seen from them is extraordinary. Dress warm but remember the sun the beats off the ice may give you some sun. I would like you to know that there are guided tours that will have a park ranger give you commentary, try and take the guided tours. Make sure you go out and see the glaciers up close because they are breath-taking.Best Way To Get Around:
Like I had said, the only way to get here is by boat or ship. But don't forget to take this much needed tour..
