One of reasons why I love to spend my holidays in the Protaras region of Cyprus is because of the lovely beaches. The resort of Protaras offers some great beaches, whether you want to be active or wish for something more peaceful. Protaras has every right to boast about its gorgeous sandy beaches, where the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean gently lap upon the soft sand. From the purpose built, man made town of Protaras, there are many hotels, some are near to the beach and many are in a beach front location, all are within a reasonable distance to the coastline. Along and close to the beach at Protaras there are positioned a multitude of hotels. Some, such...Read More

I love spending my family holidays in Cyprus. I find this island a great, family friendly country which caters excellently for the holiday makerI have stayed in both Protaras and Paphos and feel that, although I like both resorts, for a family holiday with mixed ages, I have a slight preference for the Protaras region. This area has so much for the family to do, especially if you have young teenagers in your party. We have spent two summers in this area with teenagers and have found it safe for the youngsters to travel around with friends they have made on holiday.During the summer daytimes spent in Protaras are best spent around the pool or on the beach, However, w...Read More

If you holiday in Cyprus and stay anywhere within travelling distance of the resort of Ayia Napa then I would highly recommend that you visit the fantastic water park called Water world. On my last visit to Protaras my family and I decided to visit this water park. We went with friends we had made at the hotel. Altogether there were four over forties, four teenagers and a child of ten. We decided to travel by bus which was easy as a bus stop was close to our hotel. The water park is on the outskirts of Ayai Napa. It took us about thirty to forty minutes to get there. We had already purchased our ticketsfrom a travel kiosk ion Protaras the day before, so were allowed...Read More

I have holidayed twice at the Odessa, but the second time I didn’t find it twice as nice! We were here, both occasions, for two weeks on an All-inclusive basis. Our party was made up of, me, my husband and our two teenagers aged fourteen and seventeen.I chose the Odessa hotel after much research. Cyprus generally seems a good place for British holiday makers. If travelling to Protaras area, you are best served by Larnaka AirportTRANSFER TO HOTELAbout an hour and a half was spent on the coach from the airport but it was comfortably air conditioned, and we sat back enjoying our first taste of this island.CHECK IN/RECEPTIONThe reception area is...Read More

I have spent my last three holidays on the lovely island of Cyprus and have been tempted back again this year for the fourth time. I have now visited several places around the Mediterranean and like them all but, for a family holiday with mixed ages, I find Cyprusis a great place to go. Of course, It really depends upon what you require from a holiday but Cyprus resorts are quite varied. If you are a twenty something then you might like Ayia Napa with it's many clubs and very upbeat atmosphere. Paphos on the west of the island is lovely but the beaches are better in Protaras. You could try Limassol or Nissi Bay- really on this large island you're spoilt for choice. ...Read More
