Brisbane in the capital city of the State of Queensland and the domestic terminal at Brisbane Airport has become the third busiest in Australia after Sydney and Melbourne. The terminal is divided into three components reflecting the importance of the various airlines which operate to it. The largest by far is the Qantas section at the north-eastern end of the terminal. Next is the Virgin Blue section at the south-western end and the central area is used by Jetstar, Alliance, Tiger, Strategic and a few smaller carriers. There is a common railway station serving the terminal but if you are arriving by private car, bus or taxi you need to know which part of the terminal you need. Fortunately, ...Read More

The international terminal is a different building from the domestic terminal and they are separated by quite a way. Each has to be treated separately so both have extensive facilities. A good number of international airlines fly into Brisbane including Air new Zealand, Air Niugini, Air Pacific, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Eva Air, JAL, Malaysia, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei, Singapore Airlines, Thai International and Tiger. The two major Australian international carriers Qantas and V Australia have many services. The terminal building has quite a good range of shopping outlets. These include Australian Produce Store & World of Chocolates, Australian Way, Bill...Read More

This is the only accommodation option at the airport. Fortunately it is a class offering which is far removed from the old-style airport hotels which were purely a place to find a bed. It is situated in Airport Village which is a few kilometres from both the domestic and international terminals. Novotel Brisbane Airport offers premier business and leisure accommodation. Located in a new area rapidly becoming a key commercial, retail and recreational zone, the hotel sits alongside corporate offices, retail outlets and specialty operations. The hotel has 157 rooms and suites, and a modern design in keeping with its aeronautical surroundings,The Novotel Brisbane Airport, which opened in Decem...Read More

Novotel hotels cater to both business and leisure guests so the range of facilities has to meet all needs. At the Novotel Brisbane Airport this is achieved through the Catalina Restaurant, Catalina Bar, business centre, and fitness facilitiesWith contemporary interiors and a relaxed atmosphere, Catalina Restaurant serves a delicious buffet breakfast to meet the needs of most travellers. I believe the buffet opens at 5.30 but I was never up that early. At 9.00 it was still going strong with food being renewed all the time. There was a selection of juices, fruit, cereal, yoghurts, bread, pastries and hot and cold dishes. For various reasons we didn’t expect to eat again until about 3pm so w...Read More

There is a large range of quality goods and a variety of duty free and specialty shops at several locations, including both the domestic and international terminals. Airport Village, which is where most retail activity is concentrated, offers a great variety of shopping and dining. Now open for business are Woolworths, Amcal Pharmacy, Dan Murphy's (who offer both a Tavern and a bottle store), the Coffee Club, Clancy James Butcher, Bossy Hair, Magical Rice, Beauty Stop, Flight Centre travel agency and Smarte Carte which offers short term luggage storage. There is also a medical centre. All these outlets are in a ne...Read More

Airport T-Bus Photo, Brisbane, Australia

Brisbane Domestic and International terminals are located 2kms apart. It is too far and not convenient to walk. Current access between terminals is via Airtrain, TBus or, if you are prepared to put up with the abuse, by taxi. The Airtrain, which is operated by a private company, has a connection between the Domestic and International terminals. Price per adult is AUD 5.00 one way while Kids travel free! The big problem with the train is that services stop about 8pm while flights continue to arrive and depart until nearly mid-night. TBus offers connection between the Domestic and International Terminals. Bus stops are located outside the Qantas and Virgin Blue arrivals hall at...Read More
