Last fall, Himself and Yours Truly undertook a cross-country car trip to transport a small trailer-load of personal belongings to our daughter’s home in New Mexico. Our itinerary took us from the East Coast to the American Southwest, a journey of some 2000 miles. Our third (and last) night on the road was spent just off Interstate 40 at the Days Inn in Clinton, Oklahoma.Like so many roadside lodgings, the Days Inn at Clinton caters largely to travelers who leave the highway for a night’s rest.
