Paestum - it is a living chapter in the history of ancient Greek architecture. Three well-preserved temple can understand how the formation was going Doric. When the churches of different eras can be compared is not the schemes, and just see them standing next to each other, it is very impressive. Two of the temple of Hera, separated by a century against the background of bluish mountains, framed by stone pines and oaks produce no less impressive than the ensemble of the Athenian Acropolis.Temple of Hera I, was erected in the middle of the VI century BC The travelers of the XVIII century it was called "Basilica" because they believed he was not the temple, and social structure. Mezzatorre Resort And Spa

Hotel | "Views from the hotel!"

Mezzatorre Photo - Mezzatorre Resort And Spa, Ischia, Italy

It is necessary to separate the cliff, far from civilization. The location is as it is a plus, and minus. Plus - is surrounded by 7 hectares of vast green forests on the coast. Less - next to the hotel there is no taxi or bus stops. To get to him, you need 15 minutes to walk along a deserted road by the forest. Day without tension - right woods to the left - Negombo sea - beautiful! And in the evening without a car can not do. Taxi at night from the area in St. Restituta Lacco Ameno Mezzatorre to 15 is from the hotel to Lacco Ameno morning and evening walks hotel minibus, but not always possible to adjust to his schedule. I'm usually in town left for the hospitality bus back to back ...Read More

Hotel Regina Isabella located in the small town of Ischia - Lacco Ameno. Now do not even believe that in 1881 and 1883. another earthquake Lacco Ameno completely flattened and there killed thousands of people! And now it's quiet, cozy town, a little away from the noise of Ischia Porto Ischia Ponte and just a 15-20 minute bus ride away. One side overlooks the central square of the town - pl.Santa Restituta, where is the church and the archaeological museum. On the other hand it overlooks the sea. The hotel consists of 4 buildings, connected by long corridors: Regina Isabella (the main building where the reception), Belvedere, Sporting, Royal. In the fifth build...Read More

Hotel | "an excellent location"

Ischia Porto Photo - Capri, Italy
Quote:
The hotel is situated in an excellent location, in the heart, the Ischia Porto, but nevertheless in a quiet side street, so that in addition to birds singing in the mornings any noise does not interfere with sleep. In the evening also quiet. 2 minutes - and you're on the main shopping street with cafes, shops, restaurants and other things. Also very close to the beach. Our rooms overlook the garden, all rooms have either a balcony or terrace. The restaurant is very delicious food. We had paid for breakfast and dinner. But we are the hotel for some reason made a bonus - all inclusive, ie + Lunch and any drinks. While we dined there only one time, because Happy all the time you were on the e...Read More

Restaurant | "There Cooks the Best Pizza in Naples"

Photo of Naples, Italy
Quote:
We began wandering the dark alleys of the Via Duomo, Starting back from every shadow (there was really dark, and even more so when read online horror about Naples), hungry and almost desperate to find any place to eat, when came across the lighted windows behind which people ate pizza. They went, found a free table, but with difficulty. Interior restaurant interior was not called: rows of tables, chairs, walls, white tiled, and photographs on the walls. Menu hung on the wall next to the table and contain two lines: Pizza Margherita and Pizza Marinara. Of course, ordered the largest Margarita. A few minutes brought huge. While the pizza is made, I remembered that I read in an Internet made...Read More

Arriving here for a few hours or half-day, hoping to see the whole city - a great self-confidence. The city has a lot to offer, and it is very big. Walking around even the main attractions will be difficult. For those who prefer a circular tourist buses in Naples, too, have a (site http://www.napoli.city-sightseeing.it). The first impression of the city: an incredibly dense buildings, it seemed to me that a very tightly built up with Rome, but had to change my opinion, Naples - a real anthill. By price - Naples is much cheaper than in Rome, it seemed to me that 20 per cent cheaper hotels and meals. Stores lot for all tastes. Good shopping, I always been lucky there. ...Read More

40-minute boat ride from Naples, but if the raft, it will take more than an hourOn the island clean and comfortable, with large sand beaches, the Italian houses, villas, shops, restaurants, etc. etc. People are friendly and sociable. Attributed to a mixture of English, Italian and gestures. But many understand and speak in English, someone good, someone relatively))) But everyone has the desire to understand! And this is important! The first fort on the island was built in 474 BC Greeks from Syracuse Gerona, who came to the aid of Kumans during the war against Tirrenia. After the war, who only island is not taken into possession ... In the 15 century there were hiding from the pirates resid...Read More

The rooms are very nice, although we have not been paid in view of the sea, but the view was - a side, and Vesuvius watched every day. No if you're not lucky, you have the room, go straight to the street, and it does not good. No 2 month, we were unable to book a sea view - was no longer that reserves in six months. Our number came out at the pool nearby hotel Grand Hotel Riviera (incidentally, also a very nice hotel, too, with its beach, green, but more modest interior than Ambashatori, and while swimming he has more, but kept in the shade of the trees, so that there is no one ever swam. Ancient City of Pompeii (Pompeii Scavi)

Attraction | "There Is a Spirit of Death"

Photo of Pompeii, Italy
Quote:
If you go to Pompei on the final railway station «Sorrento», like i did, about half an hour. The train station, on which you need to go, called «pompei scavi villa misteri». It is located near the entrance to the museum. The name of the train station is displayed on the electronic scoreboard in the train and the quiet rustle of chanting. Train themselves in the horrendous graffiti, plastic chairs, a rather shabby. Better to go to Pompeii in sneakers, not in open shoes, cobbled streets and small pebbles can ruin the whole trip. If a strong wind blows, then it would be good to take with a handkerchief or a thin scarf.Distracted: scarf needed in Pompeii for the protection of the turbule...Read More

The ruins are in very good condition, considering how old they are. There is so much to learn from this lovely place, and its accompanying museum.Paestum is some 100 km southeast from Naples (at the seaside), but there are frequent trains from Naples (and back). The trip lasts some 90 minutes + about 20 min. walk from the train station to the museum premises. The entrance to Peastum costs 4 euro, the trip from/to Naples some 10 euro, roughly.Everything in the museum was very well displayed and most of the descriptions of the artifacts were in English. Apparently much of the world is unaware of the existence of Paestum, so if you're in Campania, see it before everybody else discovers ...Read More

Parco Dei Principi Hotel

Hotel | "Wonderful View!!!"

Photo of Naples, Italy
Quote:
The hotel is rather on the outskirts of Sorrento - unhurried pace 20-25 minutes to the central part. After dinner, good walk.
Nondescript hallway - the doors to rooms on the right side. But entered the room and all suspicion vanished, a great room with magnificent views of the same Bay of Naples, Naples and Vesuvius.
Beach - on the elevator down, 2 platforms with always free sun loungers and umbrellas.
Breakfast is very good at dinner always went to different restaurants in the Sorrento.

In my opinion, the most remarkable in this island is the thermal water. Thermal spas are in almost every hotel, but worth a visit thermal systems (they are on the island of five). We walked only one - "Poseidon Gardens", as it was located near the hotel. Price one-day admission ticket to the complex 28 euros. In my opinion, rest on ISCHIA a path does not make sense without visiting these complexes, because beach holiday on the island of mediocre and difficult.Briefly describe the organizational moments in the "Poseidon Gardens", as at the time this did not find any description in any withdrawal. At the entrance you can take the plan of the complex with the recommendation of the order of vi...Read More

Hotel | "Not a Four-star Hotel"

Beach Photo - Hotel Weber Ambassador, Capri, Italy
Quote:
The shuttle service was great. It was free and there was this a driver there that is very friendly.
Location is good as it is by the beach. The beach was very accessible and we had a beautiful view of the sea from our terrace.
The service was terrible but our shuttle driver was great.
The room was very small and the shower did not have a shower curtain or door so water got all over the bathroom when we took a shower.
Better to have a food in the city.

The most amazing place that we discovered - is Capri. When I read in reviews about the fact that Capri - a paradise on earth, I thought it was exaggerated. But when we got to Capri, we realized that calling it a paradise, people underestimated! This was not even invented words in our rich and powerful:)Capri can be reached by boat 25 minutes, they go from the port of Sorrento. On Capri, the crowd dispersed immediately rushes to the cable car, which looks more like a toy train in the form of stairs, which stubbornly climbs a rope up in the town of Capri. Waiting for him is enormous. If you have a healthy heart and strong legs, you can climb up themselves by spinning the way, I think time will it ...Read More

By the way, rather big city. But a couple of days it can be seen almost entirely. Admire the stunning views of the Bay of Naples, wander through the narrow old streets. But in fact, Sorrento is better seen as a base for future pedestrian outings and trips to the surrounding areas in all directions. The road to the railway station takes only 5-7 minutes walk. On the train can independently go to Pompeii and Naples. On the bus to get to the good Positano and Amalfi. In Amalfi you can transfer to the shuttle buses as the direction in Ravello, Salerno and more. Of those longer trips, we returned in the evening sun the most crowded impressions! Although nearly collapsing from exhaustion. Escaped after a tr...Read More

Not far from Sorrento (7 km) and Amalfi, there is another wonderful town of Positano. He looks like a colored fountain out of their homes, flowing from the very skies to surf. Positano became a famous resort since the First World War, when tired of the bloody reality endowed with a subtlety of perception of people of different countries started to look for peace, tranquility and beauty that reigned here. Calling Card Positano is the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with richly decorated majolica dome. Medieval watchtowers were built to protect against Saracen pirates. Ravello is also worthy of special attention, but before he has to go on two buses, but of course he is worth it. Prior to the Amalfi hour and a half on an exotic road among the rocks and then another 30 minutes uphill to the second bus. Down can come down, taking a taxi is a quick and cheap. The whole city is intertwined streets, two squares and a couple of villas that's the very rare zest, for which is to travel here on several buses. Although, honestly, except for villas, a town so full of rare originality, which makes it expressive and memorable! When I look pictures of Ravello, it was struck by how many different cute and expressive "pictures" instead of the small dot the mountain in I...Read More
