Bastakia Quarter-preserved ancient Arab quarter, transformed now into an open air museum. Moreover, free of charge.Immediately struck by a kind of parking lot - before under such canopies tied the horses and camels. By the way, the bright colors of cars in Dubai is not uncommon - better reflects the hot rays of the sun.Beige color and elegance of the Arabic covers you immediately, but in Dubai, many modern homes are made of beige and feature a variety of Arab elements, so that these species have already become more or less familiar. In the background we see an example of using straw for various outbuildings, barn, etc. This cheap and simple method of building secondary structures used...Read More

On the shore of Dubai Creek is the oldest building of the city - Al Fahidi Fort. And in it, or rather in its vast cellars arranged an excellent and informative museum about the life of Dubai in the past century. The massive base of the main tower is designed to protect her even from serious caliber of those times. Severe powerful tools installed before the main entrance. After passing the gate, we enter the courtyard of the fort. It exhibited small fishing boats of various kinds, the English guns, standing on the arms of the fort. The most important thing in the Arab fortress (or any other, too!) - A well with drinking water. On the walls of the fort to be taken away do not ...Read More

The hotel consists of several buildings that include the hotel, apartments, suites and apartments. We had a number of premium (308), with its own terrace. But after the first night, we changed the standard. The fact is that just below us is a bar, which worked until three o'clock in the morning, sleep is impossible. So we asked to higher and overpowered us on the 11th floor. Hotel services at a level worthy breakfast. The room has everything, down to the ironing board with iron. Mini-bar was breaking from the proposed beverages. Prices naturally kus kus-(bank "Heineken" 0,33 l - 35 dirhams for the ruble, multiply by 7.7 and Pepsi - 18 dirhams). As we know, most of the State of the United Arab Emirates is located in the Arabian desert. It is necessary to literally leave the city either to move down the road, and right in the midst of endless sand ... We were fortunate to ride on the dunes in a jeep, and even on an ordinary whiteboard:)Our jeep driver named Ibrahim. He was born in Iran (as well as many drivers in the UAE) is home to around 10 years in the UAE, there had to learn 3 languages (Arabic, Indian, and Russian) and wants to leave that job, but it does not let go because of his skill driving. I read about him a lot of positive feedback on the Internet before the trip, and he fully met all expectations ... First, we drove sl...Read More

It has so many advantages, it is worth mentioning, and deserves to be popular among dubai citizen and tourists.FIRSTLY, but here is a wonderful terrace where you can sit in this heat in the cool of the evening. Illogical, but true. It is surrounded by a weightless stenochkoy of glass, leaving an open space of beautiful gaze around the restaurant and inside the territory of the Wafi Centre. And as she stenochka interrupted in several places in the huge 2-meter tall air conditioners for open spaces. Well over the tables and hung his sprawling crown huge trees. Let's go back thoroughly frightened, I bought a long dress, which generally do not wear, especially at the resorts. About the alcohol we were warned, but we're just a suit - 10 days not to see drunken people - already rest. And everything else causes fear: a woman there is not a man, passing along the street on the handle, you risk to be in the police, for a kiss on the street - in prison. I must say - the fears are greatly exaggerated. Local residents - people with the dignity, even if they wanted to consider a European woman (local all wrapped in black veil, only her eyes visible), do it tactfully and if possible unnoticed. Only the labor force, where there are a lot of different countrie...Read More

Restaurants offer a good selection of wines. Is taken deposit - 1400 Dhs for room.SPA - is a fairy tale, I recall with pleasure. The pool of the hotel is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest pool in the world at the hotel. One problem was that we booked a club room with seaview and king bed, and we got neither upon arrival. As it was very late, we made a complaint to the reception but had to goto bed. The next day, they agreed to upgrade us to the tower suite, which is an amazing room! Beach clean place and a lot of deck chairs, the water is clear and warmRoom rates at 5 +. Were removed like 2 times a day, but on subjective feelings, they were in the room just 5 per day, not less. And, when we were not there. Never found the janitor. In general, the territory is not just big - huge! In addition to the Mina A 'Salam there are two hotels, they are all united in the complex. Boats, by the way is not the only transportation - there are still cars. Transportation is free, but I often gave the driver a tip!Room was excellent, in Arabic style as the rest of the hotel, overlooking the sea. Balcony is not big, but cute! Ibn Battuta Mall

Attraction | "One of the Shopping Centre"

Ibn Battuta Mall Photo, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Quote:
It looks like a Dubai street during the old time with a unique building and the man-made sky above the ceiling. It looks like as if you are walking on a street. I liked this original design.
You can do similar shopping anywhere else -- but what made this mall so special is its rich collection of information about Ibn Battuta.
Name of brands are nothing specially.
I really advice to choose another places in Dubai for shopping, like The Mall, Mall of the Emirates and my favorite one BurJuman Centre

Attraction | "Yes, It's Really Enormous"

The Dubai Mall Photo, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Quote:
Aquarium is ridiculous. The one in Singapore (Sentosa island) impresses much more while - again - the winner for the size is undoubtely Dubai's. You just walk about 50 metres below sharks and scates (they seem completely blackout).
You can't find anything here you can't get anywhere else, but it's worth a visit anyway, just because it's utterly ridiculous, and of course it's right next to the Burj Khalifa (Burj Dubai), which you'll probably want to see anyway.

Dubai Creek

Attraction | "It's Different and Fun"

Dubai Creek Photo, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Quote:
The Creek area is a very nice one, you'll find the gold, fish, textiles souks (local markets) and you can cross the creek with the traditional boats (abhra). It's a very cheap and a nice experience. You pay on the boat 1 Dhs each and pass it down the boat to the driver - it takes you across the river. You have to be quick they can only allow so many passengers and you've got nothing to hold on to and the water's not far from your feet.
You can tell the boat "driver" to take you wherever you want on the river, which can be very useful, above all when it's too hot!

Impressions coolest, security 100% (on the beach you can leave everything that you like) not to mention everything else.
Of course, this complex on the sea is the best.
