Silver Fork Lodge is one of those joints that just feels like home. It's a cozy Bed & Breakfast spot high up in the Wasatch mountains. Although we drove up for only the food and the scenic drive, I'd have to imagine spending a night or two there would be groovy. The staff was nice and seemed like a tight knit crew with a healthy sense of humor to boot. The food was super-yumtastic, rich and natural, and tasted like it was made with love by a grandma with good ole fashioned cooking skills. Great food, decent beer selection, super staff and a splendid view from the dining area (and deck) makes this spot a popular pick for the near by ski resorts for sure....Read More

We drove down to Moab from Salt Lake to do some mountain biking. But before (and after) our downhill excitement we ventured into Arches for some extraordinary sight-seeing.The rich red landscape is like...awesome. Once you drive in and up in to the park it's like you're on another planet. For miles and miles you see nothing but nature. I was in awe at the grand view of the arches, canyons and mountains jutting up so high. And, If I could geek-out for a sec, the complementary colors of the blue sky and iron-rich red mountains made the sight even more beautiful. We visited a few spots in the park: The Park Avenue trail, Double Arch, Windows, Balanced Rock and peeped the Delicate A...Read More

Burger joints are usually a good choice when you're hungry, well, for us meat eaters anyway.

This joint gets a few thumbs up. Good burgers and fries, excellent fry sauce, good drinks coupled with friendly and fast service easily makes this spot a staple for locals. It's a place you wont have any problem with going once a week or so.

Their fry sauce is really good and you can even grab a bottle of it to take back home. I hear really good things about the root beer floats—which I will try upon my next visit—but I went for a shake to accompany my Big H burger on this visit and it was a great choice.

Would I go back again, at this very moment, if I could? Yup!

Salt Lake City is a beautiful city. The landscape was breath-taking. I know, that's deep. But it's true.Driving around you look around and see the mountains surrounding you and the sight seemingly never gets old. The mountains have such a prominent and humbling presence that just seemed to put me in a good place. You think about all the outdoor activities you want to do: hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, camping, etc. I had a big urge to look into all sorts of outdoor gear. We went to REI once while in Salt Lake and I could have easily blew my whole paycheck on gear and gadgets.I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the city and will definitely be going back for a few more v...Read More

Beer! They have the most beer selections under one roof than I've ever seen. The last count was 276 bottled beers from all over the globe and 31 beers on tap; and they're active in adding to the list and changing it up.For those of you who enjoy beer even slightly more than the average Joe (or Jane) this place is a must if you're in the SLC area. The bar itself is really cool. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is, I would say, above average when it comes to bar food. The layout is open and roomy. There's an outdoor area to take in some rays whilst throwing back a few. You got 2 pool tables in the back and of course your classic LCD screens here and th...Read More
