Sambo's Restaurant

Restaurant | "Decent Breakfast Spot"

Quote:
Besides being shocked and slightly offended by the antiquated name of the restaurant (yes, I know it's a book)...the food was decent. I had the huevos rancheros and the person I was with had the New York Steak & Eggs. The blueberry muffins that come before the food is served are pretty good, a tad dry, but yummy with butter. The Huevos rancheros with corn tortilla were good also - not the best, but pretty good - lacking tomatos etc...We asked for the steak medium and it came back more medium well. Overall, the spot is great for a decent breakfast that is right by the water. Don't expect to be blown away, but you will leave full and satisfied.

The rooms are clean, but very out-dated and the ameneties are minimal. Inside the room you will find a box tv, a mini-fridge and a table and two chairs. There is no hair dryer or iron/ironing board. I think we would have enjoyed our experience even more if the iron was not chained to the ironing board and the remote did not have a sign on it indicating not to steal it. The included continental breakfast was a treat and pleasantly surprised us. "Rupy?" provided excellent care and the food included coffee/tea/juice, quiche, croissants, doughnuts, bagels etc...One s...Read More
