This is a good hotel if you are just looking for a clean, comfortable, cheap place to stay. For $30.00 a night, I can't really complain too much. We arrived at the hotel and were delighted to see that this hotel too offered free valet parking. This being a budget hotel, I didn’t expect to find this service. Valet parking is pretty much a strip property standard service I guess. We got in line for check in and waiting about 35 minutes before getting checked in. This was miserable for us as it was 11:30pm and we had 2 kids with us. They just didn't have enough staff to check the all those guests in line. You would think that they would have it down pat by now with as long as they have been around. I’ve ...Read More

MGM Grand

Hotel | "Always Consistent and not Terribly Overpriced"

I've stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. I've been coming to this hotel for over 8 years and the quality of my stay is always superb. The rooms are always updated and clean. The staff is highly trained and customer service here is superior to other hotels outside of Vegas. Though you can expect to find this type of service at all the strip properties. The resort is catered to the average Joe, so it’s affordable to most visitors. It’s not too fancy or expensive and the theme is Old Hollywood. There are great restaurants, bars, shopping, MGM lions, and great shows. This place is huge, so be prepared to walk. Getting back and forth to your room can be a pain because of the walk...Read More

Hotel | "Nice Hotel, but Probably not Worth the Money you'll Pay"

This hotel is nice. I stayed here twice. Once in a standard room and the other in a lake view room. When you walk into the front door, you see where they spent their money. The crystal chandeliers, colorful hand blown glass flowers, marble statues and marble floors. You can really feel the opulence. The food at the Bellagio Cafe is excellent here as well. I had a $20.00 cheeseburger which I swear was the best burger I've ever had. I would definitely pay that again. The buffet is also good, but $40.00 is a lot for a buffet. The ever changing botanical gardens are beautiful and a must see for every visitor. Let’s not forget the fountains outside which are the main attraction. You'll never tire of the wa...Read More

Luxor Las Vegas

Hotel | "Good Hotel for People with Kids and on a Budget"

Although we didn't spend that much time hanging around the Luxor Hotel & Casino, it is still one of those not-to-be-missed attractions on the Strip. With its 350 foot high black pyramid and striking reproduction of the Great Sphinx of Giza, it is probably one of the city's most easily recognizable landmarks. The hotel looks a bit dated, but is in good condition. They have maintained it well. The parking is inconvenient because you have to walk to the hotel from the multi level car park. That can be tough in the blistering heat of the desert. Our room was clean and average for the $60.00 price range. It was your basic budget motel room which was fine. There is a video arcade, 3D cinema, ...Read More

New York New York Hotel & Casino

Hotel | "Good Hotel, Good Value"

Quote:
I stayed here once a couple of years ago. Super fast check in was a plus. This hotel is your above average Las Vegas mega resort with a New York cosmopolitan theme. Our room was nice with your basic luxury hotel room amenities, but nothing special. They have different themed rooms for every tower, but truth be said the rooms are just different levels of niceness and nicely decorated. The room rates are reasonable and the resort offers many fun things to do. Don't miss the replica of the Statue of Liberty and a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Cirque du Soleil and Zumanity shows are the big show attractions. The food here is great and you be able to sample some of New York city's finest pizza, sandw...Read More

Hotel | "Super Impressed and Surprised with the Rio!"

Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino Photo, Las Vegas, Nevada

The last time I came to Vegas I was on a budget; so I decided to try the Rio out since they had the best rate at the time. I know the Rio has been around for a very long time, so I was expecting an outdated resort. I must say that this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The resort was very updated and I was surprised to learn that all rooms at this hotel were suites. This hotel boasts a friendly and very accommodating staff. I requested a strip view room and the clerk told me that it was an additional $10.00 per night usually, but that she would upgrade me for free. She then also gave me a coupon book loaded with discounts and freebies for its sister properties. One of the freebies was 2 tickets for ...Read More
