This eight acre area depicts a turn-of-the-century farm, designed to entertain parents and children alike. Activities include a petting zoo, a silo with slides, a farmhouse, gardens, and wild animal recovery area.
The farmstead was named after Deanna Rose, the first Overland Park police officer killed in the line of duty back in 1985. Her love of family and animals clearly supported the naming of the farmstead in her memory.
The farmstead is only open during warmer weathe from April 1 - Oct. 31 with hours 9am to 5pm daily. During the summer (Memorial Day - Labor Day) the farmstead is open 9am to 8pm daily.
