Having visited Dubrovnik several years ago we were struck by the Croatia bug and decided that it was high time we got back for another dose.Zadar, proved a welcome change from the intense hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik and served as an excellent base from which to explore Northern Dalmatia. The proximity of the airport to the city centre means that you can be in town about 20 minutes after landing.The old town itself is a mish mash of styles from Venetian to modern and bears the scars of many occupations from both distant and living memory.
