Overview

AS you know I love food, and Boston has some great eats.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Absolute best city in America in terms of public transportation. Buy a weekly T pass and you can get to pretty much anywhere you want to be in Boston.

I have tried other places in Chinatown, but this place is by far the best for Dim Sum. Either Saturady or Sunday mornings are the best time to come. There will be a big line, so be prepared to wait. Bring a Sunday Times to kill time if necessary. It is always better to get Dim sum in a big group, that way you can experiment with all the weird, exotic offerings you might otherwise pass on.

Don't drive- parking is horrendous. Take the T. The closest stop is the Chinatown stop.

A few blocks from Havard Square is a place called Johnny's Luncheonette. Perfect place for a Saturday morning all American breakfast. It is styled like a 50's diner. The food fare is gourmet Denny's the prices are not that high. Perhaps a dollar or two more than what you would pay at Denny's, but oh the quality and the atmosphere. This particular morning I was famished so I had the "18 wheeler". Three eggs any style [over medium for me] with flap jacks, home fries and your choice of bacon, sausage links, ham or homemade turkey! and apple sausage. If you have ever made flap jacks, you know it is hard to make a big sized pan cake. Well at Johnny's they make it very well. They even serve beer here! Although if you are drinking beer for brunch, you might have a problem.

Story/Tip

Every once in while one comes across a restaurant, that has such great food, you want to order all the items on the menu and subsequent visits. Only if I were a power ball winner. Warning this place is pricey. However, unlike a lot of expensive restaurants where the food is ho-hum, Lala Rokh's food is spectacular.

In particular have their appetizers. The mushroom platter had some of the highest quality mushrooms I have ever tasted. Complements to the chef in his/her shopping ability. The restaurant is on Beacon Hill. Reservations is a must.
