This gorgeous cliff side hotel is located off of Highway 19 in Honomu on the makai (ocean side) of the road. There is a small sign on the side of the road with a yellow lei on it that reads Palms Cliff House. The lovely grounds are filled with palms and other tropical plants. There are different types of rooms on the two floors of the inn. The top row is upstairs and air-conditioned. The bottom row is downstairs and not air-conditioned. It usually gets booked solid during the Merrie Monarch Festival (a popular hula festival held in Hilo during Spring).
