There are no stores on the island. Day and overnight visitors must consider food, beverage, sunscreen, insect repellant and rain gear, all of which must be ferried by boat and packed 1/2 mile to the Seacamp.
The campsites range from sand dunes through the forest. We saw wild turkeys, horses, and lots of unidentified tracks. Muscadine vines and saw palmetto together with the airplants give the forest a jungle feel. We recently watched the movie Jurassic Park III and my husband teased of dinosaur sitings.
