Attraction | "Argh Matey!"

Megan at Spyglass Park
Spyglass Park is easy to find, get off 101 and onto Shell Beach Road, go towards the ocean at Spyglass Drive and the park will be at the end of the road. There is parking available.

Spyglass Park is a lovely place to look out upon the ocean and feel the warmth of the sun. It also doesn't hurt that there's a kick butt little play structure with a ship theme. Megan was so excited that she stepped up behind the wheel and made Jason take a picture!

Attraction | "Nice Mission in a City Setting"

Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Courtyard
Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is one of the more interesting Missions we have visited. Most of the Missions are in a more neighborhood or rural setting, this one feels very vibrant and alive, like we are in a big city.

Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa was built in the 1790's and is the fifth mission built in California. Restoration back to the original setting began in 1933. Outside of the Mission is Mission Plaza which hosts various social and community events.

The Mission church has lovely painted decorations with a high ceiling, it is very narrow. The gardens are nice. The Mission church is still active and Mass is said twice daily, with 3 additional services on Sundays.
