The Excalibur in general feels a lot more low rent than it used to, which is odd given the recent refurbishments they've been making to their rooms and pool area, but thankfully they have a very good range of eateries on offer. From the dollar menu at MacDonald's up the highly regarded Steakhouse at Camelot, they have a little bit of everything and none of it to too highly priced. Regales falls in the middle of this, making it very good, if a little dated, but not too expensive. We went there for dinner on a Saturday night and they had plenty of room. They seat right up to 11pm, and though the decor was rather dated, it's still a nice place, with very helpful, friendly staff and a plea...Read More

The Buffet at the Excalibur is one of the biggest in Las Vegas. These have always proven popular with the Vegas crowd, so if you are going to come here then it's advisable to go in the quiet hours outside of the the established dinner and lunch times. Otherwise you may well be confronted with some very very long lines. Also, while we were there, they offered a 2 for 1 deal between the hours of 10am and 2pm. This is well worth it as the prices have recently gone way up. For lunch, per person, you're looking at something in the region of $17 per head, plus a long wait time.Walking in, it's not the glitziest place in the world, but any displeasure you may feel at the decor is quickly eras...Read More

The walkway between the Luxor and the Mandalay Bay has a broad variety of really good shops and eateries. There's some luxury stuff, some affordable stuff, some great galleries and some really interesting bars and the like. The ice bar is worth a look if you have a little extra cash to throw around. Set sedately off to one side of this little shopping district though is the Zagat rated Chocolate Swan. They boast that they serve the best coffee in the world and the window display of choclates and associated goodies was enough to entice me inside. They have some magnificent looking indulgences on offer in there. The main counter offers a really interesting range of chocolat...Read More

The Venetian Hotel & Casino is an amazing place. It is beautifully put together and extremely well run, offering its customers a palatial setting right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. One of the most stunning parts of the whole hotel is the shopping precinct. It offers a wide variety of shops and galleries - most of them very expensive - interwoven with indoor canals that offer gondola rides with classically trained, opera singing gondoliers. All of this underneath the perfectly rendered blue cloud-scattered skies that arch between the 'streets'. In amongst these extravagant surroundings you could be forgiven for thinking that all of the eateries are going to be black tie, hi...Read More

The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino has a gem of a restaurant for those who want to eat some high quality Mexican food in extremely pleasant surroundings for an exceptionally good price. The decor is perfect. Good quality furniture and fittings, darkly lit and comfortably appointed with a suitably Latin feel to it. When you sit down, you'll be greeted by the Tequila Goddess - their answer to the traditional sommellier - who offers to guide you through their range of over 100 kinds of tequila. Looking through the list, they have an impressive array, and if you're after a margherita then this is the place to get it. They are consistently voted the best place in Vegas to get one, and ju...Read More
