"Paradise" Island ; Kauai

Every time I go to Kauai, I always make sure I take my friends on the helicopter ride with InterIsland Helicopters. There are no doors, though don't let that frighten you. You're quite safe, I assure you. You experience a view like no other between the lush valleys, the magnificent peaks of Napoli, the endless variety of special places to fall spellbound to the crashing of the waves and the informative history, as told by the pilot, of this unique island.

Must sees: sunset from the Princeville Hotel over Hanalei Bay; dine at A Pacific Cafe and Roy's for some 5 star dining that would rival anywhere in the world; experience a whale watch with whales and dolphins so close that no one will believe your pictures when you come home.

Best Way To Get Around:

Definitely need to rent a car to see it all. There is really only one main road that goes around the island but there is no public transportation and the roads are to narrow and steep for bikes.

This is known as the premier timeshare on the island because of the views but also the outstanding accomadations. There are 2 bedrooms and complete bathrooms with jacuzzis so you can bring friends along to enjoy this adventure.

Dining is in the romantic setting on the patio wrapped around the plantation where you can see beautiful sunsets, enjoy exquisite food and wines and have attentive, knowledgeable but unobtrusive waitstaff.

Hanalei Bay is one of the most romantic spots in the evening that I have ever been to anywhere in the world; the sunsets are events to evoke poets to write endlessly about and the long stretch of white sand, on this crescent shaped beach, is made for walking hand in hand; Kileaua is quite different.. the surf is a brilliant green as it races with lots of foaming white caps to the shore and if you're one of the lucky ones, you got to ride it in on your board
