Sin City Bachelorette Party

An April 2001 trip to Las Vegas by xtreme_chick

Sin City Bachelorette Party

Overview

Quote:
Strippers and fine art - only in Vegas.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Our group of 6 girls mostly used taxis as a source of transportation. The rides to and from clubs in various places on the strip averaged around 9.00. The cabs have a strict five passenger rule so be sure to divide your parties accordingly. Be sure to get some harsh words from the cabbie if you don't leave a fat tip.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino

Hotel | "Excaliber Hotel and Casino"

Quote:
Excalibur was one of the first family oriented Casinos/Hotels in Las Vegas. Despite its hokey medieval decor, the rooms are clean, nicely sized and, most importantly, the non-smoking towers were totally smoke free. Take this from someone who stayed at the Caesar''s Palace non-smoking tower and spent the weekend sneezing. The rates for the weekend were reasonable considering the quality of the room and the location of the hotel on the strip.

Baby's

Attraction

So much has been said about Hard Rock Cafe, Las Vegas that we were all excited about hitting their famed nightclub. We waited in line for approximately 20 minutes (not too long by my standards) before we were admitted to the club. The decor is somewhat of a cross between post modern and "underground" if there were such a thing. Deep dark hues and low lighting encompasses the plush couches and general low-profile atmostphere. The first room, deemed the "hip-hop" room, has a teeny tiny dance floor fit for about 10 people. This isn't your conventional hip-hop either. It's a hip hop groove mixed beyond recognition. The main dance floor is very appealing in its look, but has possibly the worst music...Read More

The Beach

Attraction

Quote:
After being majorly disappointed by Baby's, we decided to hit The Beach which was touted as a guarenteed party zone. Boy were we disappointed. Don't get me wrong, if you're a horny teenager or young adult, particularly a young male, you'll be overwhelmed by the MTV spring break-like atmosphere. Well built and scantily clad guys and gals dance on stage and bar tops to the sounds of what else, beach music. On the hard concrete floor you'll find the same hot guys and gals selling body shots. It's fake straw and plastic flowers everywhere in this dive. If you're in Vegas to get 'faced, and you're under 25, this is the place for you.

Club Rio

Attraction

Maybe it was because this club was the third stop of a disappointing evening, but I have to say this was the best part of the night. If you want to dance, this is the place for you. There's nothing special or attractive about the banquet room type setting, or the outdated disco lights or rotating dance floor, but the music is first rate. Basically, everyone there was just a dancing fool. The DJ played a mix of old school dance, Latin-inspired rhythms, hip hop and recognizable medleys. The giant screens were filled with images of random chicks they had selected to pull up on stage and grind away. There was a good mix of age groups here having a good time and with a cheap cover, how can you go wr...Read More
