Virginia is a great vacation spot. The Williamsburg - Virginia Beach area is where we go. They're only about 1 1/2 away from each other and there is tons to do for the whole family. Young and old!

Quality Inn Lord PagetBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "A Very Nice Hotel in Williamsburg"

We stayed at Quality Inn Lord Paget in Williamsburgh. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The room was clean and perfect for my family of five. There are separate buildings housing a number of rooms. Each building is only two floors high. All the buildings are arranged in a circle and they are close together. In the middle is a separate building called the coffee house. That is where they serve a free breakfast every morning. They offered boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, biscuits, sausage gravy and fresh waffles. Yum. This hotel had a laundry facility for guests. This came in very handy. It was a dollar to wash and .25 for every 15 minutes to dry. The staff was VERY friendly and proper. I loved it and will be staying there again. I am a member of choicehotels.com where you can get special rates at select hotels. This was one of them. I paid 89.00/night and that was with an extra bed.

Busch GardensBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Busch Gardens Europe Awesome Park!"

Well my family and I went to Busch Gardens Europe last year and I could not wait to go back. I just loved this park. The park is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the shows are excellent. This year we saw Pet Shenanigans (again!), Secrets of Castle O’Sullivan, and the String Quartet in Italy. This park really must hire some talented people to do these shows. The String Quartet were professional violinists. They were excellent. Pet Shenanigans is always a great show for the kids. This is almost the exact same show that they have at SeaWorld. The tricks that these animals do is amazing. I am not usually a fan of amusement park food, but you have to eat at this park. There is the most delicious BBQ I have ever tasted throughout the park, They have chicken, brisket, ribs, biscuits, corn on the cob and even delicious desserts. Yum!!! There’s a small zoo within the park. There are white wolves on display and they have a show starring the wolves as well. It was pretty cool. There is an enclosed area that you can walk through that contains beautiful birds. These birds were so friendly. Several of them were landing on my husband left and right. He looked like the Pet Detective. One bird pooped on his backpack. You can buy a small cup of juice for the birds and they will fly to your hand and drink from the cup. It’s a very cool experience and of course the kids will love it. Check out the pics of my husband with a bird on his back! There not many water rides at this park so if you’re going on a very hot day then bring one of those water bottles with a fan on it to keep you cool. There is a log flume ride and you can get soaked on that, but that’s about it. Busch gardens is only 1 hour from the beach so you can get a really nice vacation if you stay at the beach and travel to Williamsburg for a day or two. The theme of this park is Europe – they have Ireland, England, Germany, and Italy. There are really nice shops in every country along with ethnic foods to choose from. There are ride throughout Busch Garden for every single person in your family. This park is very expensive, but if you save up and take the kids when they’re a little older, then everyone will enjoy an awesome day (or two) at busch gardens!!

Water Country USABest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Water Country USA is a Blast"

Water Country USA is loads of fun for the entire family. My kids are 3, 6, and 7 and we were all able to go on practically everything. If your kids are not as young as mine, then you’ll be able to get to every ride in the park. This park has a couple of baby/toddler pools so someone can hang with the little ones while the older kids go on the more adventurous water slides. Wear your bathing suit and don’t bother to wear anything else because every single ride is a water ride. They have life vests for the little ones to wear. My 3 year old kept his on the entire time. Park rules state that you cannot bring food into the park. We did anyway and no one really says anything even if they see it at the front gate when they check your bags. You’re better off bringing your own food as the food at this park is not that great. Water country USA is 3 minutes from Busch Gardens and about 15 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. If you are visiting Williamsburg during a heat wave, then you have to hit Water Country! Check out the picture of me at Water Country with my I love IGOUGO tshirt on!!!
