Quiet Mon Pub

We sat on the front balcony while drinking our draft beer during happy hour. Full 16 oz. beers. We paid $15 for 6 beers. The balcony overlooks Woody's Saloon and the main road in and out of town. Great people watching! Fun time at Quiet Mon Pub!

We happened to eat here on a Friday night before they shut down on Saturday night for 2 months. To start off they were out of several menu items. We did enjoy the Feta Stuffed Chicken, The Crab Cakes and the Sushi Grade Tuna dishes. The one disappointment was the Paella. It was very dry that night. We have had much better waitresses on the island. She kept on saying : "6 more hours to work" lol

For a great pizza in Cruz Bay go to Cafe Roma. Our party of 5 ordered 2 pizza's at the bar. Ordering to go or eating at the bar is cheaper than sitting at a table. Go figure. Our bartender, Emrys, gave us free bread while we were sipping on the local Virgin Island Beer. Emrys was a great guy, friendly, very talkative which made our visit even better. 16" pizza was thick and very filling. You can't go wrong here if you like wood fired pizza!!!! The meals coming out of the kitchen looked huge and very appetizing but we did not try them.

During our return trip to St. John in July, 2008 we went back to Lime Inn for their spectacular all you can eat shrimp night on Wednesdays. Just as good as we remembered it from last July! Delicious shrimp, all you can eat, great service and friendly staff working there! And the price is right. I highly recommend everyone to make a reservation at the Lime Inn if you are in Cruz Bay on a Wednesday! You won't be disappointed.

Morgan's Mango

We decided to go to Morgan's Mango on Thursday night for their 1/2 price margarita's. They were delicious! I had the Frozen Mango, Passion Fruit and Strawberry Margarita's. All excellent. We found the food prices to be higher than what listed on line so be careful. Also, my Mahi Mahi salad was tiny this year compared to our visit in July, 2007 and of course higher prices this year. Our party of 5 all liked our food but we thought the prices were somewhat too steep for the portion size. My son's Cheeseburger in Paradise was huge and very good so I would order that instead of the small salad next time.

During our trip to St. John in late July, 2008 we ate at the Banana Deck Restaurant two times. First visit was so good that we returned for a 2nd meal later on in the week. We were a party of 5 people. They serve the local Virgin Island beer there which is really good! The food was delicious, very good portion size and the cost not outrageous. I had the Mahi Mahi garden salad and it was huge! Service was excellen by our waitress "Angela" and the bus boy was super both times! The tables are nicely set and eating outside at night was very comfortable. I would definitely eat there again on a future trip.

Conrad Sutton Jeep & Car Rentals

Attraction | "Great Place To Rent A Car"

We have gone two times to St. John in the past two years and have rented a car from Conrad Sutton both times. Carmen and Conrad are wonderful people to work with when you are renting a car on St. John. Rates are great for St. John and they are more than helpful and friendly every time you see them. Also, if you rent a car from them you can park the vehicle in their lot at night when you go out on the town. This is a great benefit since parking is hard to find in Cruz Bay. I would highly recommend them when you need a rental car.
