The James Gettys Hotel is very different from your usual hotel experience. Each of the twelve suites has its own name and theme. We stayed in the "Union Hotel Suite" which was the name of the hotel during the battle of Gettysburg. As you enter the suite, you're in the sitting room/kitchenette. To your left is the bedroom. No worries: a typical PA summer rain storm consists of 10 minutes of downpour and then 3 days of higher humidity. The skies poured open as we packed ourselves into a few cars and took a drive to the spot where we were told to meet the guide. But the rain didn't stop after 10 minutes. ...Read More
