Quick tips for visiting the zoo:

Stroller pushers might want to get out at the Cleveland Park exit to walk downhill to the zoo, then exit at the Woodland Park exit to get the lift. Be forewarned that on busy days there is a line of stroller users, waiting for the lift!

During summer, there are many misters around the zoo to keep everyone nice and cool, as you make your way around the numerous trails and hills around the zoo. There are several areas under construction until 2011.

As with all zoos, there are food stalls, and some benchs, although on busy days, you’ll find most people sitting on the ground to rest their weary feet.
