Restaurant | "Elephant and Castle (The)"

It was the end of our trip around Dublin and we were about over restaurant food, but the Elephant and Castle was perfect for a quick, tasty and reasonably priced meal. Located in the temple bar area of the city it is close to Grafton Street shopping, Trinity College and the O'connell street bridge.

Restaurant | "Reason Alone to Visit Dublin"

Leo's
Never a fan of restaurants found in travel guides - this tiny fish & chips shop is an travel guide find. After walking the streets of Dublin we found this little shop with a line waiting to order their lunch. I have enjoyed the traditional order and the battered sausage as well. Both I would return to Dublin to eat again, in fact it was the first stop on my return trip to Dublin.

The only down side (ignoring the health factor) is that it is only a to go situation, but with some planning you can make it a perfect day and enjoy some people watching in one of the parks or at Dublin castle near by.

Dublin Bus ToursBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Hop On - Hop Off"

I am a dork - I like the city bus tours. I have done the bus tour in Dublin (twice) and the reason I like them is they are a cheap way to see the city. Even if you say you are not doing the tourist thing, you may be visiting the art museum, the parks or other places that the bus stops at. How can you complain about a ride around the city where you can get off wander around and get back on any time you want? On my second trip to Dublin I used the bus to get to go shopping at the Guinness Storehouse, then took it to Grafton Street and back to the hotel near Temple Bar.

The bus visited many places that we were interested in seeing and pointed out some places that we would not have even know to see.
