A trip to the Space needle isnt something to plan your day around, but definately a sight to take in while you are in Seattle city center. We did not take the ride up the tower, it was completely overpriced in my opinion, considering we saved the $20 per head and put it towards a sea-plane ticket for much better views. There are "locally" known places throughout the city that offer exceptional views of the city for free, I would take the time to ask a local. But as you meander through the city the needle is there looking down on you, so take it in at least check it out while you are there, it is a beautiful piece of art in itself and it screams SEATTLE!!!!

During our trip we chose not to actually pay for admission into the project. We asked around and learned that it really was an overpriced tourist trap. Although, if it is something that you are definately interested in than my tip to you would be to check the lobby of the hotel for money saving deals on entry. If you plan enough in advance you can preorder a coupon book for the Seattle area and get a BOGO coupon for this and many other attractions. The building is a great piece of architecture and should be seen.

By far one of the best experiences on the trip to Seattle center! We planned ahead that we were to take a seaplane trip while in Seattle. After research we found that we could preorder a coupon book which had a BOGO coupon for a seaplane ride. The book was $15 and the plane ticket was $67.50, so the book was worth the price! Although make sure that you PLAN ahead and try and make reservations as we did not and almost didnt get to go on the plane. They do operate 365 days a year and work in any type of weather. You can answer most of your questions at their website at www.seattleseaplanes.com. The trip is a 20 minute ride leaving from Lake Union and during the flight the pilot will ...Read More
