So new the sign isn't up!
This is our new favorite restaurant. We loved Cafe Chadra in its hospital district location and really looked forward to the opening of this new place. Chadra Mezza & Grill is the buzz of Ft. Worth now that it has opened in a spot so handy to Texas Christian University and the Medical District.

www.chadramezza.com for a look at the menus and a sample of some very lively music.

The food is in the styles of Italy, Lebanon and Greece with a strong emphasis on fresh ingredients and delightful spices and flavors. We recently took guests from out of town to enjoy the Heavenly Chicken. They agreed that it certainly was Heavenly.

There is a work week lunch buffet and dinner hours Thursday through Saturday evenings. I have enjoyed all the dishes I've had from this restaurant, but particularly enjoy the vegetables and desserts. The House salad dressing is perfect.

Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. Chef Nehme and his wife Christina will greet you as if you are guests in their home.

They are now making pizza. Fantastic! You can order ahead by telephone (817) 924-2372 and pick up or eat in. The word is out that the Victoria's pizza with sausage, spinach, tomatoes, onions and bacon is a top choice.

Assemble chalupas to your taste
Blue Mesa is a serviously busy after work gathering spot that has very good food and drink. We enjoy the food at all times but most especially during cold weather. Really hits the spot!

Don't pass up a chance for the Painted Dessert soup which is really 2 soups in one bowl: black bean and corn chowder. There are more sorts of Margarita drinks on the bar menu that you could imagine, but be sure to ask the prices for those when you order as some of them are expensive while others are a great value for the money and generous in servicing size.

The fish dishes are excellent and are in fact prepared in a healthful manner. There are some traditional Mexican dishes intrepreted for America tastes and some very creative combinations......but no combination plates!

Handy to Texas Christian University, the Fort Worth Zoo, The Botanic Gardens and even downtown; this place is a great one for a nice meal. Locatied in the University Park shopping center complex a few yards from Interstate 30, there is plenty of free parking at the door.

Yoghurt & fruit frozen treat
We have hot weather in North Texas. That is no secret, but our way of coping is to know where the best ice cream and frozen yoghurt can be found and near to home! Marble Slab has been pleasing us for a very long time.

Seek it out!

Ice cream, frozen yoghurt, floats, specialty dessert drinks and 'mixings' which are all sorts of things you can put in to your cold materials. That is the ice cream and frozen yoghurt. Hand made cones and even ice cream cups you can eat.

Open all year even when we have our short winter season. We don't lose our interest in Marble Slab. A bit on the pricey side if you bring the whole family, but very high quality food sold here.

Set back from Hulen Street across a wide parking lot. You have to look to find this place as it is in the middle of a long strip shopping center.

Studying Lili's menu
Lili's is an enchanting and busy little restaurant that hit the Fort Worth restaurant scene with a bang and has been very popular ever since. Reservations are valuable Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings only. The food is all fresh and freshly made in front of you as the kitchen is in the midst of the diners. The style is Mediterranean with an emphasis on fresh and healthy options. This place can get very crowded on weekends. There are a couple of outside (on the sidewalk) tables and some parking to the rear of the restaurant. Other than that, you have to find your own parking place on Magnolia Avenue.

We were absolutely delighted with out dinner that started with hot and spicey Gorgonzola fries. A bit too rich for my companion. He had the Medallions of Beef and I had the Fresh from the Farm Vegetable Plate. Both were excellent.

We topped off our meal with two wonderful desserts (all desserts are $5 at this writing) and decided we had a wonderful dinner at a price a bit higher than we usually pay in Fort Worth.

BoomerJack'sBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Boomerjack's Grill"

Boomerjack's Outdoor Bar
Located in the bright and sparkling Montgomery Plaza Shopping Center (long ago a Montgomery Wards store and service center), Boomerjack's is the up and coming gathering place, restaurant and bar for the young and young at heart near downtown Fort Worth in the thriving and thrilling West. 7th Street area of town. The old Montgomery Wards building was cut in 2 and a street run through the middle.

At street level are shops and restaurants while above are the flashy condos (read that high class) of Montgomery Plaza.

The outdoor dining at Boomerjack's
Grill is very popular in nearly all weather while the indoor facility is a sports bar. To see and be seen on the patio at Boomerjack's is the thing to do if you are a college co-ed or an up and coming professional.

Great bar drinks at fair prices and a wide selection of beers.

The food menu has some delightful choices at reasonable prices. I adore the Honey BBQ chicken sandwich and the banana pudding dessert. There are burgers and specialty salads with appetizers including fried pickles and onion rings.

The service is a treat, especially out on the patio. Valet parking for those who want to cruise in and be served.

Soon the condos which are all above street level will be finished and folks will start living above Boomerjack's Grill. City living in old Fort Worth. The street scene at Boomerjack's is going to be a year around fiesta.

Enjoy this place. We do!
