The sealife at Atlantis in lagoons dispursed throughout the heavily landscaped property. The morning walk on the beach, through the tennis courts and gardens with the Atlantis guide. Sitting on the front porch of Greycliff with cocktails, listening to the piano man. Watching the very man who rolled cigars for Castro, roll one for you!

Quick Tips:

When you have found paradise, why go farther? Except for Greycliff, I wouln't venture a painted toenail off this exquisite property.

Best Way To Get Around:

There are water taxis which are fun, walking is do-able, or taxi cabs.

From the moment you walk up to the front porch and the staff greets you, by kissing your hand so elegently, you know this will be a special experience. The wine cellar is bottomless, the piano player knows all the old ones, and the cigar-roller learned his profession in Cuba, doing the same thing for Castro! Walk out back! The pool/courtyard is charming. The cuisine is the best Nassau offers. But is the ambience that captures my heart. It smells of old money.

Be prepared to be harassed, it is part of the style. This is the place to get a few rasta braids or two. Take home some tee-shirts and local items. This is the kind of stuff that will eventually end up in your garage sale, not your estate sale! Once you've done it, it will be " been there, done that " for you. I really think you would be better served to stay on property at Atlantis and forget it. There is a GREAT passionfruit liquor that is hard to find that you REALLY should bring back, Marie Brazard, Mango Passion but it is made in France, the flavors maybe come from here?

Visted April 25-28, 2002 and we found a new even more improved resort! The towers are completed and exquisite and this time we stayed in a suite that overlooked the property on three sides! What a difference! More selection of restuarants, and a delightful spa. The food is much, much better, although the service is still lax, no hurry, be happy. The phones rings and rings before you can reach housekeeping or another room, get your own drinks at the bar if you thirst, it will be much much quicker! The BEST pina coladas, I have ever enjoyed are on this property.
