My Valentines Day Montreal Trip.

Typical street in Montreal with stacked housing.
Fantastic romantic getaway started with a massage at The Marriott Hotel Spa. Then took a horse drawn carriage ride in Old Montreal which was really charming. Gambled and won at The Casino! Montreal is exciting and very chic!

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Montreal has a great metro system and an extensive underground walking path that connects the entire downtown core.

Red Thai

Restaurant

One of the best Thai restaurants anywhere. Beautiful decor with amazing service to match.

They serve authentic Thai Cuisine at reasonable prices. This place has won many local awards.

Price ranges from $15 - $25.. perfect to order several small dishes and taste a bit of everything.

You have to try their Coconut chicken soup.

This place is perfect to take a date.

Med Grill

Restaurant

Fantastic place for steak, pasta or seafood. The food presentation is just beautiful same goes for the decor. The food is fresh and the menu is creative.

They have a stand up bar which serves a great martini's.

Service is very friendly and prompt. One of Montreal's best.

Académie (l')

Restaurant

Very affordable French/Italian bistro. The décor is modern and clean and the service friendly and brisk. Menu of bistro includes wonderfully prepared mussels, light pasta dishes and outstanding homemade desserts. Most main courses can be had for under CAD12, and considering that you've brought your own wine, this is one of Montreal's true bargains.

The Biodome in Montreal
The Biodome is a museum of natural science with a living collection of ecosystems. You have the polar world, Tropical Rainforest, The St. Lawrence Marine and Laurentian Forest.

This place is great to take the kids as there are many living plants and animals to see. Bring your camera because everything here is so beautiful.

A great way to spend an afternoon.

Maison Simons

Activity

Fantastic Designer Dept. Store. You will find all the European fashions for men and women. The store is not uptight considering the brands they carry. You can shop without anyone bothering you but assistance is easy to find.

This store tends to carry more edgy pieces not usually found at most other stores at better prices too. Prices range from $90 for a G-STAR t'shirt to $600 for a Dsquared jacket.

It's my favorite store in the entire city and I never leave Montreal without a visit.

This casino is world class from the modern design of the building to the chic interior. There is your regular table games and slots... It's open 24 hours and provides very nice views of The St. Lawrence River.

There is a show bar that seats 500 with nightly entertainment along with a five star restaurant Nuances which offers some amazing seafood in an elegant setting.

You want to dress smart casual as they do not allow jeans.

This is an Adult Club with male strippers for both men and women. This place is very nice not your typical adult club. Great music and energy. Very big stage with non-stop entertainment. This is a good fun place to start for drinks before clubbing. Cover charge is $10 and the drink prices are very reasonable. Best time to come would be 10PM-12AM

Stereo

Activity

Stereo pumping all night and into the morning.. ;)
The best after hours nightclub in North America. Mixed crowd with gays and straight. But mostly gay especially after 3AM. Cover charge is $15 - $40 depending on DJ. Amazing sound and light system. The crowd is very attractive and most boys have their shirts off. They have special DJ's all the time Able, Ana Paula, Offer Nissim, David Morales, Victor Calderone etc.. with theme nights and shows. You have to visit this place when in Montreal.

Nationally known railway museum showcases artifacts, documents and other articles related to Canada's railway history. The real stars, however, are the 140 locomotives and other rolling stock, many of which still work today! They have the oldest existing locomotive in the country, and The Rocket, Montreal's inaugural electric streetcar. Several trains and streetcars offer rides on a daily basis. The museum is best accessed from the Mercier Bridge, Highways 132 east and 209 south.
