Fish & Chips at Fado
We had high hopes for Fado, having read reviews online prior to our visit.

The decor is typical Irish pub. It is a chain, but definitely a step up from a TGI Friday's.

We were sorely disappointed in the taste of the food. The fish & chips, while appearing extremely appetizing, were the most bland of any we've ever tasted.
The pork tenderloin was dry and over-seasoned - so much so that my husband actually cut off the edges of the loin to avoid consuming too much fennel. He did not even finish the relatively small dish.
The one truly palatable item was the Cheese dip & Wedges dish. The wedges were excellent, even though slightly overcooked. It was obvious the appetizer had been sitting a few minutes, as the cheese was barely warm, but still... it was the best dish of the night.

As far as the drinks go, the Guinness was properly poured, so that was a bonus.

If we ever have occasion to go drinking in this area of town, we might stop in for an appetizer and some drinks. However, there are many better places to visit.
