Restaurant Luden is located in the middle of the center of Breda. It’s an old white building at the historic harbor (called the Spanjaardsgat) of Breda. There are two sections inside. The bistro or the main restaurant. You will see the difference in the interior. If you are coming for lunch the menu is the same in the bistro as in the main restaurant. The diner menus are if fact different from each other. We decided to sit in the main room. I will describe the interior as a little French, with some Dutch art. It’s cozy and has warm colors. You will feel at home immediately. We came in for lunch and the menu just perfect. You have a choice of different salads, warm and cold sand...Read More

Only 100 meters from the Sint-Janskathedraal you’ll find restaurant ‘t Bosch Kwartiertje. It’s located in a very popular street, named ‘Korte Putstraat’. This street is filled with restaurants and is very known in The Netherlands. In the summer the restaurants offers outdoor dining. It’s very cozy and it has a special atmosphere. But lets get back to the restaurant where we had lunch. The interior is dark brown. It’s a small restaurant, but very nice decorated. It has a burgundian atmosphere. We had a table of four and the waitress came quickly. I ordered a glass of white wine. My friends ordered red wine. The red wine was not a very good wine. In fact, my partner didn’t like the ta...Read More

The St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome is a beautiful church. Father William Hellemons agreed with this fact. He had a great devotion to the Pope of Rome. It was his initiative to build a replica of the St. peter’s Basilica in Oudenbosch. This church was completed in 1892. The Basilica in Oudenbosch is scaled 1:3 with the St. Peter’s in Rome. In 1912 the church got the title ‘Basilica’. In 1959 (till 1987) the church was renovated, because of disrepair. The marble you see in the church isn’t really marble. It’s all painted. Nevertheless this church is beautiful from the inside and outside. The smaller copy of the Basilica in Rome is located in Oudenbosch as I mentioned. It’s near Roosendaal (provi...Read More
