An October 2007 trip to Nashville by TNCatsie

Quote: Our family has a love of Country Music; and History. Since this was a last minute trip to destress, our family found a Hot Week in Nashville, TN. I have always wanted to go to Nashville; and off we went.

We had a 2 BR deluxe unit. The master bedroom had a king size bed and large bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub and separate shower. Second bedroom had 2 double beds and full bathroom with double sinks. Our unit had a living room dining room, and full kitchen with laundry in a closet. Detergent was also included for the kitchen and laundry. There was a welcome basket containing beverage packets, coffee, and popcorn. Everything was very clean. The main office is staffed 24 hours a day which is very handy. Wireless internet is not available in the units.

This 100-yard paddle-wheeler cruises the Cumberland River each day. Once aboard, the atmosphere and hospitality will usher you back to the 19th century.

The nightime cruise only includes music on the upper deck. The three-hour dinner cruise includes a wonderful view of the Nashville skyline and a wonderful country band. The family can dance. Also, I highly recommend going to the different decks of the boat because of the different rooms. If you do not buy the dinner; you can buy food from the snack bar. I recommend before leaving the boat checking out the paddlewheel. It reminds me of being in a Mark Twain novel.
