Start your day off at the Monterey branch of First Awakenings (The original is in Salinas). Don’t let it’s proximity to the aquarium fool you, locals come here too. In other words, come early. While there is plenty of seating you might have a short wait.The food is general American fare. I personally love the Acapulco Express omelet. It has chorizo, avocado, green chiles, onions, and cheese. My wife loved the blueberry pancakes. They have lots of blueberries and are actually quite large.
