Table Mountain.
For the lazy: an afternoon at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a visit to the winelands, a ride up the cableway for sunset and dinner at the Africa Cafe. For the energetic and adventurous: sandboarding, abseiling(110metres), kloofing or possibly shark diving? The choice is huge and yours.

Quick Tips:

For backpackers, the mini busses are frequent and cheap and go everywhere (an adventure on their own.) You will also find a wealth of trips offered by companies specialising in budget travellers (contact me for addresses etc.) There are many things one can do for free (eg walk up Table Mountain or spend a day on the beach.)

Best Way To Get Around:

Mini bus taxis.
Car rental.
Lion Room.
Constantly improving innovative and friendly! ISDN email connection, solar heated pool, jacuzzi and 4 poster beds make this spot a change from the rest, not to mention the crazy and fun folk around the place. Just the spot for a break.

Africa CafeBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "The Africa Cafe."

Eat as much as you please for a fixed price. A selection of traditional dishes from all over Africa. A full bar with a large variety of cocktails. Limited selection of wine but one can bring your own. Try not to eat too much before as you will need the space in your stomach.

Robben IslandBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Robin Island Cruise."

The Island prison where the now Ex-President of South Africa was Imprisoned. A 20 minute boat cruise will get you there. One spends approximately 45 minutes on the island with a guide who is usually one of the ex-inmates. It is an interesting and informative trip.
