WOW! is all I can say. I found the Downtown Plaza Hotel of Tulsa on line and thought for the location the rate was great, compared to the Crown Plaza and The Double Tree Hotels.

I booked on line at expedia and I read the two ridiculous reviews from 2 people that sounded like they wanted something for free.

When we arrived we were kind of worried about all of the renovations going on, But that soon changed. The hotel staff and I mean everyone of them were hopping and buzzing with smiles. The guy at the front desk, Curtis was very friendly and understood our concern about the renovations. He offered to show us the room and if we were happy we could stay, if not, he would cancel our reservation and have expedia cancel it on their end. Plus he even offered to help us find another hotel in the area.

We went to our room which was a king room for $79.00 looked it over the furniture was new and beautiful. The mattress was soft and the room was very clean. Curtis apologized that while they had the new furniture in some of the rooms, that the new paint and carpet was not done. But the room was fine. After a great night out on the town, we decided to stay two more nights.

Well, instead of calling or booking on line, Curtis was working again and offered to book us directly. He offered a very cool deal. For a few bucks more we could up-grade to a suite. So for $15.00 more we took the two room suite. It is a new room in every way and it was awesome. We had a living room, a small kitchenette and seating, a king bed room, two televisions, a DVD player, two bathrooms, closet, and a basket with oreo cookies, popcorn and bottled water. It was like a one bedroom apartment. We had a great view of the city skyline from our room, Both of them. The price was incredible. I would have paid twice as much as we did for this room. I can go on and on about this suite.

The two hotel managers came out and were talking to us about the renovations, welcomed us and over the next 2 days they remembered our name and ask us if we were enjoying our stay with them, every time we saw them or another employee they all spoke and ask if there was anything they could do for us.

I travel a lot and I have stayed in some very nice hotels and resorts and the staff sucked, and I have stayed in some dumps, where you did not even want to pull the sheets back, but The Downtown Plaza Hotel in Tulsa is a winner- Construction or not, it is worth it. This is going yo be one very nice Hotel when Done,
