Marigot Bay on St. Lucia is beautiful. The dining options, at least in September, were somewhat limited unless you have a car. The roads are adventurous to say the least, especially if you’re not used to driving on the left side of the road. We only used taxis arranged by the Oasis Marigot and they were very cautious drivers. The St. Lucian people in general were very kind. We were a bit disappointed in one thing – they didn’t seem to mind trash in the street, in the water, etc. There didn’t seem to be a sense of pride you find in some other places.

The weather was awesome. It rained often but usually not for very long.

The Villas at the Oasis Marigot Bay were great. We got it through RCI and paid extra for electricity for air conditioning in the bedroom downstairs but it really wasn’t necessary.
Only drawback is it’s a very expensive cab ride to a town for restaurants. Because it was off season, and one of the restaurants in the Bay was closed for repairs from a hurricane, the options for eating in Marigot Bay were somewhat limited. The villas do have kitchens but without basics, it’s not worth it to try to cook. It would have been impractical to buy salad dressing, margarine, milk, etc. for just a week’s stay. And the cab ride to the store was very expensive. But other than that, the Oasis is great and the staff was very helpful. They booked all of our excursions for us and we had a great time. The view is awesome! I would stay there again.

Great view. Daily specials. 2 for 1 drinks all day. Best lobster we had on the island.
You have to ask for the menu if you don't want one of the daily specials. They don't want you ordering off the menu but they will let you.
