Stayed at a Days Inn about 10 minutes from University of Michigan and was able to sample the college life experience.

Quick Tips:

Be aware that DTW is about 20 miles away from Ann Arbor

Best Way To Get Around:

I rented a car since things were mostly spaced out but Ann Arbor itself is a great walking town as long as you take a shuttle from DTW

Days Inn Ann ArborBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Days Inn"

Got 2 days from an online site for $50 which was a steal. VERY smokey as soon as you enter and the sheets reeked of smoke even though it was in a non-smoking area of the hotel. Free breakfast was nice, had fruit, cereal, pastries, and even a fresh waffle maker.

Attraction

The Cube
Known as "the Cube" and located behind the student union near the Law School, this statue is a great point of interest for those who like art and cubes. A nice place to have lunch and spin the cube!

Zingerman's DelicatessenBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Zingerman's"

Zingerman's
A local deli which is famous for its high quality meats, breads, and sandwiches! A short drive or long walk away from the main campus, this deli is always crowded and offers almost every type of deli fare. I had a really nice lunch there and got to experience the friendly people of Michigan.
