Top Five Fun Stuff To Do In New York! 1.)Just for kicks stand out in the crowd of the Today show in Rockafeller Plaza, you look dorky, but its super fun! Or if you are a teen, or have a teen, go wild with all the other star-struck screaming teens in the middle of Times Square at TRL. Who knows, maybe you will catch a glimpse of the Backstreet boys!! lol =)

2.)Be a part of the audience for David Letterman, or Conan O'Brian, I would go for Conan though, cause he's cute!*sigh* but anyways if you want to do this go on to nbci.com or cbs.com and find out about ticket info, most of the time, if you want a specific date, reserve months in advance.

3.) Climb to the Top of the Statue of Liberty. Awesome view, and a good way to burn off all those tourist food calories! You know what I'm talking about!

4.)World Trade Center. When the tour is done you get your picture taken with the backround of the Trade Center, aren't you excited!!??!!??

5.)Spend a day at Greenwhich Village. If you are at all a bohemian like me, it is the COOLEST place in the world, especially the artsy SOHO district.

Quick Tips:

Quick Tips 1.)Tourist attraction prices a.)Empire State Building (especially at night!) 1.)cost-.00 for adults,.00 for kids 6-11 free for younger kids. b.)Statue of Liberty ( that's kind of a duh! =) Cost-.75 for Ferry c.)World Trade Center 1.) Cost-.50 for adults and .75 for kids. 2.)Safety a.) wear a money belt, crime isn't horrible but just in case. b.) when walking look straight ahead. c.) Don't look up at the buildings when walking alone,it makes you an easy target. 3.) Misc a.)Really try to take in as much of New York as you can there's so much going on its impossible to do everything, but at least try! =) b.) Go around NYC on your own. In order to see the really cool spots don't go on tours, just explore a little, it's like a treasure hunt! c.) Just have fun, its really the coolest town, but just make sure to be cautious too! Enjoy!

Best Way To Get Around:

Best: Walk, Walk, walk. (when in New york, do what the New Yorkers do!=) 2nd: Subways (actually very safe) 3rd: Taxis (can tend to be pricey, and a lot of the time, drivers are not nice!) 4th: anything else.

The Fantasticks

Activity

The Fantastiks is the longest running musical in history dating back to 1960, and still going strong. The Fantastiks is located in the always entertaining Greenwhich villlage.

It's intamate theatre, so instead of having thousands in the audience like Broadway shows, there are maybe about a hundred or less. The show only has four characters, and extremely simple set and simple plot, but it's charm makes the show absolutly irrisistable! A truly sweet play that you will truly enjoy!

Rent

Activity

RENT is a modern, trendy version of La Boheme. A pulitzer prize winner and overall a really great show, colorful outfits and set, but don't be decieved, it looks like a fun show to take your kids to, but it is very much geared toward a teenage and adult audience. Contains profanity and semi partial nudity, just a quick moon. =)The music is wonderful, extremely loud, sort of like a rock concert, but great nonetheless. My only critique of this play is that everyone is either dying has AIDS or is a drug addict, but still very relatable characters anyway.

Times square

Activity

not a great pic sorry!
Times Square is truly one of the neatest places in the world! In the day there are thousands of people just walking everywhere, but at night, is when it is most fantastic. Lighted advertisements everywhere. and that is when the party people come out, either to go to a show or a club, after every show my friends and I saw, we would go to a restaurant called Roxys. They had the hugest most yummy pieces of chessecake anywhere and in like a 30 diffrent flavors!
