Overview

Niagara Falls is the perfect place to spend a weekend away. Adults, children...anyone will enjoy everything this place has to offer.Firstly the falls: spectacular! When the weather's right you get wet spray blown towards you on the wind. Come back at night and find them lit up - almost impossible to capture on camera but with a beauty you'll never forget. There's a host of different things to do related to the water - from the famous Maid of the Mist boat ride to walking right behind the water.Back on dry land there's Clifton Hill, billing itself as 'the street of fun at the falls.' Parents beware: there's so much to spend dollars on doing. From haunted houses and lands of Lego to waxw...Read More

This really nice restaurant is at the top of pricey Clifton Hill but it definitely doesn't cost the earth. We went in tired after a long look for a cash machine that accepted European cards and came out refreshed and ready for tacky entertainment. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we had the choice of sitting outside or in. With the warm Canadian weather outside, this was a no brainer! A brilliant extra was the live entertainment outdoors - a guy with his guitar playing light rock accompanied by a man with a mouth organ - great! The staff were pleasant and didn't bat an eyelid when my friend and I asked for only chips, which came costing the same as a side order but filled the entire p...Read More

This would be perfect for a family to do together. We, three 20-something year olds, found it fun as well!It cost us around 9 Canadian dollars each and lasted around fifteen minutes of our time. The aim is simple - pick up stamps around the maze and bring your scorecard back extra quick for the chance to win a prize. Easier said than done, perhaps - when we got out we learnt that under three minutes was the time to beat. Just about impossible then! It's easy enough to see your way around the maze but when you're actually inside it proves a bit more difficult! I was glad of my two competitive friends who guided me through with minimal effort on my part!Families: this is grea...Read More

Niagara SkyWheel

Attraction

This big wheel is a great way to see around Niagara Falls and get pictures of the water and of Clifton Hill.It costs around ten dollars to go round the wheel five times - this is probably enough because the novelty does wear off! The carriages would easily hold between 4-6 adults. We went up at around dinner time and didn't have to queue but if you did it's probably worth the wait. The wheel rotates slowly so it's not at all scary and when you're at the top and stop it's a pretty good chance for photos. We were able to spot the amusements we'd been on that day on Clifton Hill and look out over the falls and find our hotel and the places we'd eaten. At night, it's lovely just to l...Read More
