A November 2006 trip to Kristiansand by circum

Location: the hotel is located in the middle of the city, so "everything" is nearby.

Hotel: it is "old" and looks a bit tired. I booked a superior room, to have more space, the size of the room was OK, I had enough space. There was a sofa and a chair, and there was also an iron in my room, besides the regular stuff like beds, etc. The room had a balcony, but weather was bad so no use. The beds were good enough, but I had to ask for an extra pillow as it was a very small one. I was disturbed by some drunk people from the other balcony, and complained to the staff three times, but they did not do anything, so my night was ruined.

There was some black spots on two of the walls, not very clean windows, the balcony should be painted, the maids did not fix the room as nicely as it should be done.

So I over paid, that's for sure. The cost was $250 per night, so not good value for the money.

So the Pros:
Good location
Breakfast included

I will stay there again in two weeks, but only because of the loyalty program.
