This is a true ‘resort’. It's great for kids: kiddie pools, kids activities (), playgrounds, full game rooms (), go carts (). They have daycare so you can do things on your own: golf (), driving range (), full spa (), craft classes (), full gym. They have things to do together: hiking trails, nice clean pools, parks, horseback riding (). Everything is clean and well-maintained. Our unit was a 2 bedroom and had enough room for 2 people and a baby. Unit was brand new.
Bottom line: Gold Crown is well deserved.
Best thing about the resort: activities, the grounds, the units.

Quick Tips:

Best things nearby: Harrisonburg, shopping, dining, children’s museum. Shenandoah National Park, scenic skyline drive, deer, lodge (restaurant is not recommended).

Waterpark was very expensive, and a good thing to do if the weather is bad. Recommend multi-day pass.

A great resort for the summer or winter, not that good for spring or fall.
