7 Days in St. Thomas!

Best things to do? Beaches baby! We had planned things to do, but once we got there we tossed out plans and just rolled with our mood. We did go to Duffy's Love Shack, The Greenhouse, took a ferry to St. John, Charlotte Amalie, Magens Bay...just a few. Everybody we encountered while we were there was friendly. Nobody was rude, they asked if we were enjoying ourselves and if we'd been there before, etc. Also, we stayed at Bluebeards Castle and they had security 24/7 which was cool. We never felt afraid. (Four women traveling alone.)

Quick Tips:

Pick up the little books about the island that they have in places. There are tons of coupons for all different things. Also, get a paper. You can find where there's live music, etc.

Best Way To Get Around:

Rent a car! My sister rented us a car for for the week. As many places as we went we would have easily spent more than that on cabs. If you can handle driving on the left, rent a car. And believe the sticker in the rental when it says "Stay left, blow horn frequently."

It is a big place with steep hills to climb! It was clean and had a nice little patio. They had someone there to help with our bags when we got there at almost 11pm that first night. They also had security 24/7. Kitchenette, fold out sofa. They only clean your room once a week, otherwise you pay 40 bucks or so. There's a broom in the closet to sweep up your sand. They have laundry facilities, will bring clean towels, have a pool, little bar, restaurant, and a couple slot machines. Staff were always friendly plus we all felt safe there.

We were shopping downtown and it was very hot. We stopped in and had lunch (we had nachos, fish and chips, hot wings) and some yummy iced tea. It is a bar and grill, very small. People there were very friendly and the place was clean.

We had read all kinds of reviews about this place. We had a good time there. We drank a shark tank and a volcano (both group drinks!). It was kind of expensive (which I guess any touristy place is). I only thought the food was OK. You don't get much for the price. We did get some Love Tacos and they were delicious! We split those. The drinks were DEE-LISH! Oh...and it's cash only, which we didn't know. No credit cards.

I put less than $10 because we only drank here. We went on our last night in St. Thomas after we had eaten already, but I do wish we had eaten here. The food looked and smelled good. Drinks were great (mixed/frozen drinks 7-9 bucks) which was typical everywhere we went. Our waiter was a big baby and got mad that we went up to the bar to order a drink instead of ordering it from him...but everybody else was cool. They had Pyour Passion play (live music) and we loved it. We had a blast here. It's right on waterfront...easy to find.
