Montana's Cookhouse

Montana's Cookhouse features a relaxed atmosphere with good hearty food. The restaurant's decor is "rustic". There is wood everywhere from the walls to the floors to the benches. Checkerboard tablecloths and unique outdoor items hung from the wall and ceiling complete the look.Montana's specializes in ribs and steak, but have many other great dishes such as chicken, salmon, and Yankee pot roast. Most entrées are served with your choice of side dishes, I recommend the flavorful rice and country vegetables.I recommend the sizzling fajitas. It really does come sizzling so be careful not to burn yourself on the pan. The chicken had an excellent smokey flavor and came with onions, r...Read More

Red Lobster Restaurant

Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants. Whichever location you go to they always have excellent food and good service. It doesn't matter what I have selected from the menu, ranging from appetizers to dessert, it is always good. The decor is made up of different nautical items. My favorite appetizers are the lobster and seafood stuffed mushrooms and the coconut shrimp. The entrées are served with their famous cheddar bay biscuits - these come soon after you order and it is hard not to eat so many that you can't finish the rest of your meal. The salad is always good and comes with the large croutons. As for the entrées you can choose from many great items. I usually go for a pick your o...Read More

Flamingo Restaurant

Restaurant | "Flamingo"

Quote:
The Flamingo is definitely one of Meville's best restaurants. It has many of the traditional North American staples on the menu, as well as many Greek dishes. My favorites from the menu are chicken Alexander, stuffed chicken, ribs, and lasagna. I highly recommend the stuffed baked potato as your side dish (you can also get rice, fries, or a plain baked potato with most entrées). On Sundays they have an excellent noon and evening smorg. Often there are ribs and lasagna, as well as the usual chicken, vegetables, pirogies, etc. The noon smorg often has French bread and crepes as well. The offer take-out as well. You can have menu items or order from their special combos that have a ...Read More

CNT Tours

Attraction | "Corner Gas"

Quote:
CNT - Conventions N' Tours runs this very exciting behind the scenes look at the Corner Gas set. Our tour began with a pickup from the Southland Mall in Regina (you could also get picked up at a downtown hotel). We were passed a cold bottle of water from the friendly driver and greeted by our charming and friendly host. On the drive out to "Dog River" (ie: Rouleau) the guide recited funny stories and answered questions about different Corner Gas episodes. As our guide has been on the TV show since the beginning as Brent (the main character)'s stand-in he is familiar with every episode and how many of the scenes were shot. He has even made appearances as an extra on the show. The approximately 45 minut...Read More

Melville Heritage Museum

The Melville Heritage Museum is located in the former Luther Academy. It has been operating as a museum since 1983 and houses a large variety of items.Since the building was first built for a school in 1913, several of the rooms display themes dedicated to its history as a school, such as a library and a school room. After the school moved to Regina in 1926, the building was used as an Old Age Home so there are a couple of rooms following this theme as well.Other rooms are dedicated to the history of Melville residents. The basement has a CN room since Melville's existence is largely due to the CN (formerly the Grand Trunk Railway). Other rooms have military memorabilia with features o...Read More

Neudorf Golf Course

Attraction

Quote:
Neudorf is a small town located just over an hour Northeast of Regina. It has a very nice 9-hole golf course located at the far end of town near the school.

This golf course is an excellent place for beginner golfers and those who like to walk but don't want to feel rushed. On weekdays during the daytime there is plenty of time to walk nine holes, often with no one else to be seen. For a small course they do a good job of keeping the grass on the fairways cut. There is little water but quite a few bushes that your ball can get lost in.

The biggest downside to this course is sand greens. The clubhouse is also not always open. The biggest upside is the price - $5 for 9 holes for an adult.
