Perfect Weather
The best thing we did while in Puerto Rico was go to the Rain Forest. Lots of walking so be prepared, but the most unforgettable experience! After climbing the mountain it was all down hill, but just about in the middle was the great water falls where we went swimming. When we got down to the bottom, we found trees where people would carve their names into the leaves and are known to last forever. See photo: Bob Luvs Mary 6/06.

Quick Tips:

Do not wear flip flops to the rainforest, we have come across some slippery fungus and if not careful can really slip and break a leg or something.

Best Way To Get Around:

In the rain forest, it's all walking, so someone who may carry things like cameras, video a change of clothes (which is a very good idea) use a back pack, keep your hands free for grabbing onto a rail, rope or tree stump for steep spots, also sneakers or hiking boots are a must.
Veiw from Japanese Resturant
Beautiful, just beautiful! Every floor, wall, and column are marble. About every 20 feet you see a unique statue or art piece, mostly Christianity 16th century era. Water falls and lush landscaping galore. The rooms were just as beautiful with very soft comfortable beds and as many pillows, blankets, and oversized terry towels as you want. Extremely clean and well kept, curtius and helpful employees that seem to like being there and most of all the food was outstanding along with ALL the service.

My spouse and I stayed in the resort that had entertainment nightly and a casino open seven days a week. We karaoked and had a great time.

Story/Tip

On the way to an adventure
Scuba diving is available for a fee at the resort with lessons and a shallow dive. Very visible waters but a little rocky from the shore line. Try to take the lesson and charter with a group.
