Overview

The beach and nature trails were the highlights of our trip here.

Quick Tips:

I would suggest cooking your own meals to save some money, as the restaurants here are not the best.

Best Way To Get Around:

We had a great time on our bikes exploring!
This was not the best lodging. It was not horrible but it could have been much better. Very outdated cabins, need new furniture and fixtures. Too expensive for what you get. Air-conditioner was very loud and barely cooled the small cabin. Refrigerator had a very odd smell. Not the best that's for sure!

Restaurant

Aj's was a nice atmosphere. The food was pretty good but not great. Chincoteague really is not known for the best dining out experiences. I had a steak here and it was fair. I don't think the food here is worth the prices. I do think Aj's is your best bet for getting a fairly decent meal on Chincoteague, there is not much to choose from.

Attraction | "Assateague trails"

Assateague is very relaxing. We took our bikes on the nature trails and went to see the lighthouse one day. Another day we went to Assateague beach. The beach is very clean and not too crowded. There are many different types of birds and wildlife to see.
