Parque Nacional Pico Bonito

The Lodge at Pico Bonito is a luxury nature resort located in Pico Bonito National Park (Parque Nacional Pico Bonito), about a 20-minute ride from the airport. Upon arrival, the friendly staff offer a welcome cocktail, which could have rum added to it.

After check-in, you're escorted to your own private cabin with its own deck. The cabins are well-kept and clean. You can have a choice of a cabin with a ceiling fan, or with air conditioning. We chose a cabin with a ceiling fan, and it sufficed. It actually gets a bit chilly at night, so unless you plan to stay in your cabin during the day, there's no need for air conditioning.

I have nothing negative to write about the lodge. I'd recommend it; and I'm glad my boss recommended we stay at the lodge. If you're into nature, this place is for you. There's plenty of activities for you to do: hiking, swimming, snorkeling in Cayos Cochinos, or just laying in your hammock right at your private deck.
