I saw a lot of spam mentioning this place on the Internet and I had to pay them a visit for the sake of curiosity. So the number one item of info to note: They're generally closed. Any random morning, afternoon, or evening they're likely to be closed.

Note the place is just a backpacker cafe with cheap foreign food, videos, and cold beer. I decided to have a beer and peruse the menu.

Item of info number 2: It's not a very 'happening' place. I never saw more than three people here.

What it has going for it is that the two owners take a keen interest in the place. Actually, they don't seem to employ any staff, not waiting staff anyway. They obviously have a keen idea about what customers are looking for and more than half a clue about service. But the spam they generate makes it clear that at the end of the day they just don't respect the customer, which is a shame.

I look forward to them keeping regular opening hours and using honest methods for gaining a reputation. Then I might just go back for another beer.

A good reputation but I think they're getting sloppy. Very 'curt' and efficient service staff, food comes quickly, at OK quality. Prices have risen somewhat from those in the description. Clientèle is local Thais, long-termers, and tourists in about equal measure. Decor is basic. It's very handy if you're at the Central department store but I wouldn't make a special trip.

I'll concur with the previous comment regarding the lack of availability of Wi-Fi. On inquiry, the waitress gave a curt "I don't know", turned her back, and walked away to continue chatting at high volume with the other staff at the bar.

Despite this experience, I'd recommend the Sunday lunch buffet with its friendly clientèle. Beer prices are a tad higher than average.

Great lunchtime buffet. A nice selection of dishes with some quality cuisine. Desserts and coffee are good, too, with some polite and attentive staff. A comfortable meeting place and an excellent value.

It sounds like a tourist trap but it's not at all. Restaurant with a local feel. Relaxed, good to get out of Chiang Mai.

Food is excellent. I gave a high rating because they're not trying to be something they're not. They know what they're aiming to achieve and they succeed, keeping things simple.

Thailand is such an easy country to travel round. There's nothing quite like coming across the border from Cambodia, popping in the 7-Eleven, getting a SIM card, popping it in your phone and wow...you're on the Internet!

Five minutes later you have a ticket for your onward travel, no fuss, no drama. That leaves you 25 minutes and 35 food stalls to choose from. Oh, the hardship!
