Hotel | "The Tremont House"
The Tremont House is a wonderful historic hotel in downtown Galveston. It is within walking district to the historic strand district and just minutes to the beach. My husband and I wanted to spend a night away while we were visiting family in Texas, so we hopped on priceline.com and got a great deal for The Tremont House. Tremont House features:
Vallet parking: (keep that in mind if you are on a budget). We loved the vallet parking because it made us feel like we were spoiling ourselves even more than we really were.
Lobby: The lobby is just beautiful. It is open in the middle and you can see four stories up. Also in the lobby is a huge gorgeous old wooden bar.
Hotel room: The room is just beautiful. It has gorgeous hardwood floors, an extremely tall ceiling, a very comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, and a great bathroom complete with towel warmers. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself.
Best feature: By far, the best feature of The Tremont House Historic Hotel is their rooftop terrace. It is amazing! My husband and I got our dinner "to go" the night we stayed there and took it up to the rooftop terrace and ate it while we enjoyed the evening views of downtown Galveston. The terrace even has its own bar and bathrooms. The views are great, both day and night, and it is by far the best feature of this hotel!
